Well, they are actually magnets, and quite strong ones at that. A couple of years ago, they were a hit on the Moscow underground. And I succumbed too, buying a few pairs (not just for flipping).

And what do you think magnets are? How do they differ from souvenirs?

Call them what you like, but they are not pure magnets but souvenirs with a magnet in them.
Too bad I wasn't in Moscow, I would have bought a couple too, for attracting girls with lip piercings.... (not just for flipping).
