I had the same problem... the EA kept opening trade after trade and closing for a loss. I had to shut it down after a while because that was some crazy erratic action. It must be some sort of bug because nothing of it made any sense.
I do not have ideas for member like this...
have been here since June 2006, more of 2 years in the biggest forex forum and still have difficulty using a simple scalping EA ?
5-digit brokers
Hi Abdul,
What do I need to change in the parameters for the EA to work with a 5-digit broker? I use FXCM and the spread is consistently in the 1.5 - 4.5 range (which is great) throughout the trading session, however, the EA will not open any trades.
I am running a demo account with IBFX (4-digit broker) and the EA works perfectly.
Why does the EA not work with FXCM (5-digit broker)?
Your efforts and hard work are greatly appreciated. If I can get this to work with my broker, I will thankfully donate for your hard work.

so your saying if you wanna reduce maxtrades to 2, then likewise you would have to lwoer your risk to say 10ish?

simple arithmetic in default set :
your account freemargin = 1000
your account Lotsize = 10000
Risk = 20
MaxTrades=5
Lot = your account freemargin x Risk / your account Lotsize / MaxTrades
Lot = 1000 x 20 / 10000 / 5
Lot = 0.4
MaxTrades=2
Lot = your account freemargin x Risk / your account Lotsize / MaxTrades
Lot = 1000 x 20 / 10000 / 2
Lot = 1

unfortunately I do not have experience with FXCM ...
but I' sure...5-digit broker is not a problem ...
you do not need to change anything other than the time trade or risk...

I open this thread because I create some EA and want to share it for free and unlimited to all of you.
I choose TSD forum for place to share it because first time I learn MQL and all my knowlegde about MQL language begin when i read tutorials on this forum.
First EA will be discussed is Your_Lucky
this EA has been discussed in many threads EURGBP, and many friends responses this is Profitable-EA
I open this thread because I have plan to develop several EA, not just Your_Lucky.
Your_Lucky is working on the currency EURGBP and have some restrictions time to trade, my EA will works on sidewaytrend. So, for current version that I want to share now, I give limitation hours trading when Asian market Session opened.
Before use this EA, you must understand about your broker first. The only thing you should know is how much spread for pair EURGBP, when asian session on your broker's time, how often your broker make spike price and many other things you should learn about your broker's characteristic to get best performance from my EA for your trade.
Please use Your_Lucky or Thunder4WD and make it better but do not sell it.
One thing that you need to do is when you make profit from my EA, please make a donationto support my creativity.
next profitable EA depends on your support.
