TargetEquity=0.00000000

OpenHour=23 <--YOUR hours could be different

and thank you for the detailed settings. I read the Lucky guide and most of the thread but could not find substantial info about settings. How did you arrive to those settings... experimentation or applying (no doubt) a concrete logic into them ? If you could enlighten us it would be, I guess, of great interest to all....! I tried v4b since it inception, with good results and a few DD's which almost negated small gains. v2b usually works when I am asleep... no way to monitor it !

First of all, you should backtest different settings.

That s the way you could find some good settings.

I don't backtest months, i only backtest the 4 last weeks for staying close of the current market.

I do forward test( not with 50K$ only with 500$, many people don t have 50K$ ...), publish them and i never talk about my real account .

I think Your lucky need only one thing: that we trust him.

There are some DD's of course with forex robot, just adjust very fine YOUR risk and money management for YOUR bank.

Then here we have the ECN broker MBT data, which is interbank data direct, they takes lots of commisions 18 USD per runt for 1.41 lot on EURGBP, has 5 digits. so you lot 1 pips on commision, and the asian time spread on eurgbp is average around 2.8 pips, so there you have got 3.5 pips anyway.

The only good thing is the data, is none filterade. this is not cheating like FXCH intensionly made the spik in the post above. it make 50% less trade than the fxch one, since currency pair is not so volate at the time. here I let it only run during the asian market time.

Have you ever never see EURGBP so volate during asian market time? Well, this is the real account data from FXCH. If you scalping for 5 pips take profits and stoploss at 20 pips, very easy you may get stoploss out for such huge spik. Start deposite 2000USD, leverage 500:1, and in the earlier they have minimum lot 1, so if EA has 3 orders, you perhaps will get a margin call. Now, check with them, so the guy fix my account, so that I have 0.1 lot.

I have real account there, has not deposite, just hestate, when I see such spik.

However, their demo account is almost follow the MBT data which is an ecn broker.

Here I let is run for 24x5 all the time.

demo account data from pfgbest, another ECN broker. Well, they claims to be a ecn broker, however, their spread is HUG during the asian time. commision around 10 USD for 1 lot, then spread is avarage around 4 on erugbp, their data is lightly filtered as well. not the best for scalping with this EA.

Limit Orders and spread

I am new to FX trading, in other venues, I have almost always used limit trades to control the price my broker trades at. Of course I have had the benefit of level II datd to help set the limit, and MT4 does not provide that. Still, I wonder why no one seems to write EA's that use limit trades to operate when the spread is large. It seems to me that Lucky and perhaps Thunder could both operate with higher spreads if limit trades were used. Of course this would reduce the number of trades taken, since the limits would not always be hit, but some trades is better than none. It might be that Lucky and Thunder both require low volatility as well as low spread, but might work with low volatility, medium spread and limit trades.

This is probably a newbie question, but can someone explain why limits are not used?

freshman:
Hello,

Last night was fantastic: 19 trades, ALL wins, +17% balance.

V2b, eurgbp risk 100 + eurchf risk 50, else is default.

From 29.01. Lucky and FAPT performed +474%. Lucky 95% and fapt 5% of that.

Thank you _RDB_, you are very generous man.

Quoted from other forum:

As often, backtest looks really great while forward data makes the picture fall apart.

I've been running this on demo for some time after what should be proper optimisations, both long term and short term. I've also tried daily adjustments to the market with optimisation before each trading session. This far it hasn't managed to be profitable, nor breaking even.

Basically it's having the same problem as the FAPT, just more of it; it's entering lots of trades it shouldn't. It's the trend again; it's unable to determine when the trend is moving in the wrong direction for a trade that seem to be ok from the fractal envelope perspective. Given the expected weak moves during the suitable trading session, it's a clear sign of risk (either of trend change or price corridor level) when there's a strong momentum against the trade placed. Often, that kind of trades either result in a loss or at least very long lasting trades which in my opinion is bad in scalping. My 2c...
