Up_down

Hello,

I found these two indicators and would like to know is it repaints the past? If not could someone add a sound alert on changing colors please?

and could someone explain which one is better and why?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers.

greetings

Best method to trade a trend?

I am trying to determine optimal method for trading a trend once a trade is entered. The attached chart shows the signals generated.

Signals:

Open long if laguerre crosses above .15 and .50 and .90

Close long if laguerre crosses below .90 and .50 and .15

Open short if laguerre crosses below .90 and .50 and .15

Close short if laguerre crosses above .15 and .50 and .90

fibs (for setting stop loss):

Longs: after each long entry, the stop is to be the previous lower level of support or pivot, plus a third of the way towards the next Fibonacci level. The stops are to be continually adjusted by 1 level of support (1/3 below), or pivot, as the price increases by 1 level of resistance, or pivot.

Shorts: after each short entry, the stop is to be the next upper level of resistance or pivot, plus a third of the way towards the next Fibonacci level. The stops are to be continually adjusted by 1 level of resistance (1/3 above), or pivot as the price decreases by 1 level of support, or pivot.

Would it be better to keep all the trades that are generated opened until the criteria to close the trade are met, or to take profit at each signal? Or, is there another method that would be better to trade the trend?

The best manual systems in forex-tsd

Hello,

I am some months here and the reading doesnt have any end IN FOREX TSD.

So I would like to here your opinion about the best manual systems in forex tsd.

I would set up a poll to put some grades on the systems but i dont know how to do this.

Thank you

B

To start a poll just create a new thread and click on the poll option. See picture.

About what's the best manual system it's impossible to answer at least for me.

There are too many good systems in the forum but there are too many different trades personalities, traders favorite time frames, account sizes.

The key is to test and test and find the one likes you. The one that make you trade comfortably.

Why they are not gathered in one place eg under a section of manual trading systems.

I discovered one very desent with no stars buried in the 4 page of elite section.

I have an mbtrading account and I dont test ea's.

I use it with ninja trader and I want to test as much manual sys I cant.

Can you please make a top ten or something , I need to set some priorities and the "there so many good manual trading systrems here" doesnt help"

Thank you

B

Hi,

Yes, the answer does not help but we couldn't do so much. We can't say this is good or this is bad, sorry. But members couldn't do so much too.

We chosen sometime ago with help of forum members a couple of trading systems which are a sub section itself because they were successful about views, stars and post just to say some key points.

Then people moved to new systems, someone was successful someone not. Some members are still using old ones and some wants new systems.

If we gather all in one we have the risk to be not fair to everybody because there are many things involved.

By starting a poll today, new systems could be highly valuated in detriment of old ones because is what members are reading or contributing.

Another very good systems are there without being popular just because they're older or have few posts.

Let's take one example, CatFx 50 is near 3 years old, have 4 stars and 1.2 million views. But currently have a few posts per week.

Dolly is another example where today members are not posting actively.

Maksigen trading system is very good but have only 45 posts and no stars.

Not so squeeze have only five posts and it's a very good system.

Channel trading system was successfully tested for many specialized companies and declared top trading system, same history with MESA but many people does not like that systems.

It's impossible to say with a poll this system is good and this one no.

Imagine you enter to Amazon wanting to buy a trading book. Amazon tells you what people bought, best sellers and so on. Then you read the reviews and decide to buy it or not.

But amazon just could say what's the best top trading books based on a few variables but are that books for you? You don't know until you read.

I' m using somer simple systems of course. One of my live methods during long time is this: https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/178487

I've just quoted this systems as example. Dont' worry. With no little time every trader find what it needs.

70% is subjective and is another problem. EAs are not subjective and could be backtested, manual systems don't because traders are different.

Maybe my system is highly effective just for me but not for you. Maybe Not so squezee have 80% accuracy for Akuma99 but not for me.

Many respected researchers have found 65% is the best at and extreme founded in most popular trading systems. Key is Money Management.

What I've look always when I've start to test anew system is simplicity and some statements.

However we're taking seriously your proposition about one thread to talk about the systems posted here. Thanks.

Hello,

Thank you very much for your answer.

Here is system which has very few posts-VERY POSITIVE COMMENTS- is buried in the 5th page and has many similarities with your system :

https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/174964

This thread was the cause I made the initial post.I could not understand why such a decent system didnt have some stars and recomendations. I am testing this system during this week and it is profitable 85% in all major pairs.

Thank you
