news ea

Wrong on the ea today!! sorry. 1 hour too early.!! arg>>>>>

Yes, it should be one hour later.

Seems I confused with summer/winter time once again.

I will make text file in GMT time for the next week.

Sorry.

If people are using some other calendars so please note the following:

- forexfactory calendar is confusing with GMT time sometimes (irrespective off your DST settings);

- this calendar http://72.232.87.242/forexcalendar/ is showing Alpari server time. But the time is wrong. It should be 1 hour later.

- this calendar is confusing with time/date sometimes also.

- Alpari server is orienting on MSK time instead of GMT time. So for those who are using Alpari broker it is most important to know the time in Moscow (and when they are changing time to DST in the country) than in London for example

That is why i confused.

I will do calendar in GMT time (without any DST). That is more easy for everybody (and for me as well).

Oops.. Thanks for information ND... i was suprised by yesterday EA results...

Time for forex-tsd to have is own calendar...

Igorad created version #6 with possibility of input of external (different) settings for each type of news. See 1st post of this thread.

Great One! I like this external setting files. Less manuals interventions for me now... more automated and securised...

Let go to test this thing next week b4 to decide go/nogo live with it.

Thanks Igorad.

Just one recent example about Unemployment Rate.

It was 20 mintes ago. 7.3 now.

We may see it here http://epp.eurostat.ec.europa.eu/portal/page?_pageid=1194,47773485,1194_47782287:1194_47791935&_dad=portal&_schema=PORTAL

It was at 11 am CET including DST (DST on).

- forexfactory calendar: at 9 am GMT. DST (summer time) off.

- fxfisher calendar: at 10 am GMT. DST off.

- dailyfx calendar: at 9 am GMT. DST off.

- todaydx calendar: at 10 am GMT. DST off.

- Alpari broker calendar: at 13 MSK, DST on. I asked online support about Alpari server time. They told me that they don't know CET, they don't know which time on GMT now, but they know MSK and their server is on MSK-2 time in summer (MSK-1 in winter). The I asked about when they are chaning the time to summer time. They told that they are doing in sumiltaniously with Moscow time (MSK) chaning and hey are not looking on CET, ETD, GMT and so on.

That is why I confused.

Seems CET with DST on is GMT +2 now in summer and GMT+1 in winter.

Alpari server time is on GMT+2 (or MSK-2 if they want so) in summer.

And some people said that time in US was changed one week earlier to DST ...

IBFX is in US? Seems yes.

May we need to use Universal Time ? (UT)

check this .. http://aa.usno.navy.mil/faq/docs/UT.html

or UTC (Coordinated Universal Time)

check this also : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coordinated_Universal_Time

But all forex brokers are using their country time. Time was changed in Moscow last week (and in Europe as well) so Alpari and North Finance brokers changed the time on the server. Without any announcing. It is good that I have satellite TV and may see the time. Time was changed in US one week earlier than usually so I don't know about IBFX now.

We may use GMT with DST off. Our forex-tsd forum time (GMT with DST off) is fully right. So it is ok.

As I know UT is GMT time with DST off. But some forex calendars (described in my post above) are shifting this GMT two times per year + using DST as well. And because of that it may be mistakes on many forex calendars.

We may use our forum time (GMT with DST off) always in calendar (or type the news events in GMT with DST off) and hope that everything will be ok.
