Hi Simba

First, Thank you for your advice

I could find relevant post and tried to manual trade in these days.

It made good profit with GBPUSD(half TP, half stop out with 2.0062..close of 1H bar)

GBPJPY and EURJPYmay got valid signal.

And I worry about distance of chandelier.

Entry filter of chandelier for GBPUSD is 30-105.

Dispite ther are not GBPUSD, I try to applie this rule for test.

If I have any wrong, please point out...

And there are some question.

1.where does it come from ChandelierDistance"30-105"?

From your experience, volatility, or somewhere else?

If volatility,Using volatility indicater ,like ATR, may help EA.

2.I read post#725, That is you mentioned I think,

There are no comment about using SATL4H for exit.

Is it still valid close order when SATL4H turned against our trade?

EA at #893 says above rule says "valid"...which one is true?

P.S. Now I have finished making history written in this thread,

but my Strategy Tester didnt work as official...

I'll try to solve this problems in this weekend.

And I hope to test with new version EA.

Hi Simba

First, Thank you for your advice

I could find relevant post and tried to manual trade in these days.

It made good profit with GBPUSD(half TP, half stop out with 2.0062..close of 1H bar)..Please read the "official" rules regarding TP

GBPJPY and EURJPYmay got valid signal.

And I worry about distance of chandelier.

Entry filter of chandelier for GBPUSD is 30-105.

Dispite ther are not GBPUSD, I try to applie this rule for test.

If I have any wrong, please point out... Please post the right charts with all elements of the template visible...EURJPY GOT SEVERAL SIGNAL SELL@ 161.19/161.58 RANGE yesterday @08:20 CET..GBPJPY got a valid signal..SELL@237.94 as shown below in the forward test

And there are some question.

1.where does it come from ChandelierDistance"30-105"?

From your experience, volatility, or somewhere else?

If volatility,Using volatility indicater ,like ATR, may help EA...It comes from extensive testing,we had observed that entries very near or very far away from the Chandelier usually were problematic ones..so we tested this concept and got this distance range

2.I read post#725, That is you mentioned I think,

There are no comment about using SATL4H for exit.

Is it still valid close order when SATL4H turned against our trade?

EA at #893 says above rule says "valid"...which one is true?..Above/below rule means to NOT TAKE ENTRY SIGNAL LONG when price below SATL..and don`t take short when price above satl..since it can be a potential reversal..it doesn`t affect exits..and yes,the moment you have a closed 4h SATL bar against your trade direction you exit..

P.S. Now I have finished making history written in this thread,

but my Strategy Tester didnt work as official...

I'll try to solve this problems in this weekend.

And I hope to test with new version EA....????? TRY TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM

Hi Metro,

if you want to know if your signals agree with the system, for gbpusd and gbpjpy, just check this link

http://www.rubicon.cz/reports/aos/ea3/statement.htm

This is a forward test that Frantacech started the 27 of March, less than 1 month ago..check both the closed and the open positions,as of this moment the system is working well..

You can also check this other link, where Frantacech was so kind to test a variation of the official rules that includes a "break even and save some profit"

strategy, that is very interesting as an alternative, and is working very well too.

Please see my comments above-in your message- regarding other specific points

new comer

hi simba n all thread members

usually i'm just a passive member of this forum, i like to read others n very rare post a thread

in my opinion this system good yet simple.

i already read till page 40 in this couple day, but 50 page more still left

i have a few question that maybe already asked by someone before

1. what is the latest version of this system rule for entry exit n etc (i already download the template from your 1st post, that always updated it says). i'm planning to backtested n trade it at demo account

2. is this system work for Gbp/Usd only, if not is there any additional adjustment for other pairs

thx

perhaps the thread starter could post the latest update links under his Signature, so it is easier to reference from the hundreds of posts?

Hi awsl and ice_for_trading,

I have some minutes left before leaving for weekend vacation so let me handle this.

I don't want to sound disrespectful but you should at least take the time and effort to read this whole thread. I know it's very very long but it is a necessity. I've done it many times when I liked a thread at its beginning and it's always been worth it. Ice_for_trading is more than half way through -- good job, keep going and you will find answers for your questions.

Simba has never made a summary and I hope that he's not going to do it this time either. Because that's the only way to make us, dumb and lazy newbies, read the thread, experience the system and its development, the feel of it. Otherwise it would just be indicators, equations, numbers, good looking pictures of winning trades... and that's not the reality.

Data from Guiglionda.com

Hello,

You can download the the minute data from http://www.guiglionda.com as per the previous posting..

There is also on the site a tick based web service (FREE , while most tick or even just historical web service run at 3000$ per 30K hits)..

Access it here : http://www.guiglionda.com/WebService.asmx

(this will show you how to use the webservice)..

Also a test is here :

http://www.guiglionda.com/WebService-Test.aspx

However there is a simpler processus using HTTP GET/POST (instead of the wsdl service).

Exemple : Latest tick for the GBP$ :

http://www.guiglionda.com/WebService.asmx/ReturnCurrentTickRate?theName=GBP=

Now all this is fine and rosy , but what exactly is the use for us all?

Well you can use this service to feed your own TradeStation , MetaQuotes or whatever..

Good luck.

Hi,

Thanks for the info

Now that I've moved to the daily charts for my manual trading, and actually am not using charts as much anymore , I find Simba's system very useful as a trigger, as confirmation, etc. I think that the thorough testing, which was very rigorous, and the stability of this system makes it one of the greats.

Kudos to Simba for sharing this with us all, and to Malick and Frantatech for what I am sure were tedious hours of unforgiving work. I did a lot on my own in order to adapt this gift into my own Modus Operandi, and believe me, it helps. I know sure as shit stinks right now to short Cable, for example, 4/23 since yesterday. I had that indicated with other methods, this also came in, and I have a much greater degree of confidence. I'm up over 70 pips, stop is at a minimal loss level, and I'm just waiting on London for it to go down more. If it doesn't, oh well, the name of the game is many losing trades for small $$ and one winning one for big $$, hopefully giving you a large % return over time.

To all the naysayers, don't screw with Simba, Malick, or Frantatech. They know their shit, they're good dudes, and why would they waste their time posting unless they wanted to help out? This system is unlike most that you will find on forums, because it was developed by a guy who was just trying to help, a lot of people came on board to develop it into what it is now, and it's free. It's a useful tool, take it or leave it.

I'm just posting to thank all the folks involved in making this what it is, and to thank Simba for being an intelligent, responsive, and effective team leader and statistical genius.

As far as that Allecoh guy goes...
