THE BUY ZONE RULES:

The long zone is the Open Price + .0003 and +.0004.

The short zone is the Open Price - .0003 and -.0004.

For the USDJPY use .03/.04 instead.

Go long on green (bull) candle in the long zone and short on red (bear) candle in short zone.

I reset the Buy Zone at the start of the hour.

Or you can use the London, New York and Sydney open prices.

SL is 5 to 7 pips.

TP is whatever you can get before it goes against you.

=====================================================

See the rules are too simple.

And you really don't need indicators. You can just trade off the H1 chart.

Didn't I post these rules in this thread at least once before?

I attached a PDF of THE BUY ZONE TRADING STRATEGY.

Files:

The USDJPY has an average H1 range of 24 pips.

The Buy Zone is 8 pips wide. 24 - 8 = 16.

SL 7pp

--------

TRO, BZ for H1; but what the zones & SL numbers would be on H4, D1? what the stats say? (anybody tried?)

The zones would be the same: the open price for the period you are trading.

The stats would be even better considering:

H4 range > H1 range

D1 range > H4 range.

Easy to read indicators can be found on http://www.kreslik.com

From now on that's where I will be posting my code.

right, but what the SL on H4; if 7pips - it would be the same as trade H1 on H4 or D1 (just diff entery point)

should be H4 and D1 SL value proportional (Aver Range wise to H1)? thats in theory, bur what your stats would show?

btw. Mike Dunbar (8&8dayly strategy) found the best 4 him on dayly works SL 0.7 of dayly range

couple of interesting indis by Komposter (what he does with them - don't know)

hmm... hi & lo shadows on long run the same....

Chartreuse // High-Low Average

Green // Body Average

Blue // Up_Shadow Average

Red // Down_Shadow Average

SlateGray // Summ_Shadows Average

TRO, are you kidding?

to have full collection of Meters (oficial, control, main archive) in one place - good idea; (kreslik.com)- cool;

but 2 post code only there but not here - nasty...

(simple - in case of discrepancy of ind. versions - priority of "official" version from "kreslik")

SL should NEVER be more than 7 pips!

Once the price moves 7 pips against you, the stats say you are in for a long wait to recover your loss.

Thanks for posting those other indicators.

My intention is NOT to be nasty at all.

It's is easier to maintain code in ONE LOCATION.

It's already gotten out of hand!!

What is this?...you trying to take away readers from tsd?...don't you like us here?

by the way TRO...thanks for helping me with my trading...I sure do appreciate it.

ES

Take readers away? NO!

On the contrary, I have been sending people to TSD!!

I just don't want to have to maintain code in multiple locations.
