Dear users! It is understandable to feel concerned if the first trades closed at a loss after launching the Expert Advisor (EA). However, automated trading does not guarantee a profit every day. A strategy's performance is the result of a sequence of trades, and the moment you purchase the EA might coincide with either a favorable or an unfavorable market phase.

How the Expert Advisor Works
In the version under review, trading decisions are generated by two ONNX models based on the SuperTrend indicator: one determines the direction, while the other confirms the entry opportunity. New signals are processed upon the appearance of a new bar. Before a trade is opened, the system checks the spread, trading schedule, available margin, and position count limits.
Features include Stop Loss, Take Profit, partial closing, and a trailing stop. If the "exit on reverse signal" option is enabled, a trade may close before hitting the protective levels—potentially at a loss. Partial closing functionality depends on the broker's minimum lot size and volume step.
This version does not employ Martingale-style lot size increases following a loss. However, multiple simultaneous positions are possible; additional entries require a valid signal and compliance with constraints. The colored SuperTrend lines serve as a visual reference rather than the source of trading decisions.
Stop Loss: Risk Management, Not an EA Error
A stop loss is designed to limit the loss on an individual trade rather than waiting indefinitely for a market reversal. Its activation does not in itself indicate a program malfunction. However, it does not guarantee total capital preservation; slippage and price gaps can increase the actual loss.
Not every trade closed at a loss is the result of the initial stop loss; a reverse signal could be the cause. The exact reason should be verified via the trade history and the terminal log.

What historical results show
The provided test charts display growth, drawdowns, and recovery periods. Loss-making trades are not hidden: the report shows they account for 11.24% of the total, with a maximum losing streak of nine trades. The maximum relative equity drawdown is 29.49%.
This is a crucial aspect of understanding risk. Even a high percentage of profitable trades does not rule out significant drawdowns. Past recovery does not guarantee future recovery, and test results are not equivalent to real-account performance.
Why you shouldn't evaluate based on just one or two days
The recommended observation period is at least one month—ideally one to two months—using comparable settings. A longer sequence of trades provides more information than the initial days following launch. The number of trades and the variety of market conditions are also important factors.
This timeframe is for evaluation purposes, not a guarantee of profit. The Expert Advisor is under no obligation to recoup losses or pay for its own purchase by a specific date. If your pre-set risk limit is reached, do not wait for the month to end; pause new entries and assess the situation.
Position size: a guideline of 0.01 lots per $1,000 USD
My baseline guideline for starting volume is 0.01 lots for every $1,000 USD of account balance. This is not a universally safe setting; you must consider your broker's gold specifications, stop-loss distance, and the aggregate risk of all open positions.
Important: In the verified v4 source code, the default auto-lot step is 0.01 per $1,500 USD, and the published minimum deposit is $1,500 USD. The 0.01/1,000 guideline does not override the product's requirements and results in a higher load for the same account balance. Do not increase your lot size in an attempt to quickly recoup losses, and do not disable protective stop-loss orders. Evaluate not only your account balance but also your equity—taking into account open positions, commissions, swaps, and maximum drawdown.
Key considerations for the Expert Advisor owner
Consistency and risk control are more important than the emotions experienced during the initial days. Compare results using identical settings, verify execution quality, and stick to your pre-determined risk limits. Confidence in the strategy should be based on transparent statistics rather than an expectation of guaranteed profit.
