HyperVirtual MT5: Before You Judge a Gold EA, Run the Same Test Yourself

When evaluating an Expert Advisor, it is easy to look at a profit curve, a percentage return or a screenshot and form an opinion immediately.
There is a more useful question:
Can you reproduce the test yourself?
That is the approach we recommend with HyperVirtual MT5. Instead of asking you to rely on published numbers, we provide a free demo version and an official Backtest Setting file, so anyone can open MetaTrader 5 and run the same test independently.

Don't judge an EA from a screenshot
A screenshot shows a result. It cannot show you whether:
- the correct symbol was used;
- the correct timeframe was used;
- the historical data was different;
- the modelling method changed;
- the deposit or leverage was different;
- the account type affected execution;
- or the EA was tested with completely different parameters.
For a gold EA, these details can change the result materially. That is why a reproducible test is worth more than a screenshot.
How to test HyperVirtual in 3 steps
HyperVirtual is designed specifically for XAUUSD on the M1 timeframe.
Step 1 – Install the free demo
Download HyperVirtual MT5 (demo) from the MQL5 Market. It runs in the Strategy Tester at no cost.
Step 2 – Download and load the official Backtest Setting
Save the "Backtest Setting.set" file, then in the Strategy Tester open the Inputs tab → right-click → Load, and select the file.
Important: the EA's default inputs are NOT the recommended profile. Always load the Backtest Setting file before testing. Keep Session_GMT_Offset at +7, exactly as in the file.
Step 3 – Use the recommended test environment
- Symbol: XAUUSD
- Timeframe: M1
- Period: 2025.01.01 – present
- Modelling: Every tick based on real ticks
- Account: Hedging
- Deposit: $200 or higher
- Leverage: 1:500 or higher
Press Start and let the test run to the end. You now have a common reference point for evaluating the system.
What should you actually look at?
Don't focus only on the final balance. Look at these parts of the report:
1. Number of trades
An EA that trades constantly and one that waits selectively are fundamentally different systems. The number and distribution of trades show how active the system is under the tested conditions.
2. Equity drawdown
Profit without drawdown context is incomplete. Look at both balance and equity: a strategy can finish positive while going through periods of substantial floating drawdown.
3. Trade distribution
Look at when the trades happen, not only how much they make. A long historical test exposes the EA to different market environments instead of one favourable period.
4. Individual losing cycles
Don't hide from the difficult periods – they are often more informative than the winning ones. Look at the deepest cycle: how many positions were involved, how long it lasted, and how the account behaved afterwards.
5. Whether the result is reproducible
This is the most important point. Run the same configuration yourself. If your result is materially different, look for the reason before drawing conclusions – broker data, symbol specifications, spreads, account type, historical data quality and tester settings all matter.
Test first. Decide later.
A backtest cannot prove what will happen in the future. Historical results are historical results.
The purpose of the test is different: to give you enough information to decide whether the system is worth a closer look – based on what you saw yourself, not on our description.
Run the test yourself today
1. Download the free HyperVirtual MT5 demo: HERE
2. Download the official Backtest Setting file: HERE
3. Load the file, run XAUUSD M1 with real ticks, and inspect the report.
Don't take the result on trust. Run the test yourself – then decide whether HyperVirtual deserves a place in your trading.
