Smart Gold Hunter – SGH Ultimate Update
Smart Gold Hunter has received a major update with new profiles, improved execution options, updated protection logic, and a cleaner SGH Ultimate structure.
The previous Scalper profile has been upgraded and renamed Ultimate Scalper, and a new Striker profile has been added.
The default profile is now Striker. Users can backtest this profile and use it directly by adjusting their own lot size or risk settings together with the protection parameters they prefer.
For faster backtesting, I recommend disabling the information panel.
Ultimate Scalper now includes several optional execution features:
Break Even
When enabled, the EA can protect a profitable trade by moving the Stop Loss beyond the entry price after the internal Break Even condition is reached.
Hide Initial SL
When enabled, the pending order is placed without displaying the initial Stop Loss. After execution, the EA attaches the Stop Loss to the live position.
SL From Actual Execution Price
When enabled, the initial Stop Loss is calculated from the actual broker execution price instead of the original pending-order price.
This can be useful during fast moves when there is slippage between the requested entry price and the actual execution price.
Hide Initial SL and SL From Actual Execution Price are independent options and can be used separately or together.
Entry Randomizer
When enabled, the EA applies a small internal variation to each new pending-order entry.
The purpose is to diversify entry prices so different users do not always enter at exactly the same level.
The internal randomization logic remains built into the EA.
The daily market-close and Friday-close protections have also been improved, and the dashboard has been updated for SGH Ultimate.
The High-Impact News Filter is now enabled by default with a shorter protection window around major news events.
Important for existing users
Because the profile structure and some internal settings have changed, previous set files should not be used with SGH Ultimate.
Please use the updated set files prepared for this version.
If you are already very happy with your current version and existing setup, there is no need to update every activation immediately.
You may consider updating only some of your activations to SGH Ultimate while keeping others on the version and setup that is already working well for you.
This gives you the opportunity to compare the new version gradually before deciding whether you want to update the rest.
Live Signal Set File
The latest set file used for the main live signal is attached to this post. This setup uses Ultimate Scalper.
The main live signal is the IC Markets signal:
https://www.mql5.com/en/signals/2365400?source=Site
This signal previously used Scalper Mode. With SGH Ultimate, I will now use the upgraded Ultimate Scalper profile.
The attached live-signal set file is not specific to IC Markets. It can also be used with other brokers that provide suitable Gold trading conditions, especially low spread, low slippage, good liquidity, and stable execution.
Users should always adjust lot size, risk, and protection settings according to their own account size and risk preference.
Exclusive Setups
From now on, exclusive set files will be shared only with buyers through the buyer chat group.
These setups are adaptive and may change according to market conditions, so they should not be considered permanent “set and forget” configurations.
If you are highly interested in following the exclusive setups, please join the buyer chat group or contact me directly after purchase.
These setups are mainly user-preference configurations and ongoing adjustments around the existing SGH profiles rather than separate EA strategies.
Risk and Backtest Disclosure
Backtest results should not be expected to match live trading results exactly.
This is especially important for faster profiles such as Ultimate Scalper and Prop Scalper. These strategies can be more sensitive to spread, execution quality, liquidity, and slippage.
For realistic expectations, users should assume that live results may be worse than Strategy Tester results and should always leave a reasonable performance and drawdown buffer when evaluating a backtest.
Historical broker data in the Strategy Tester cannot fully reproduce real market execution or real slippage.
In live trading, the actual fill price can depend on market speed, spread, broker execution, available liquidity, and the broker’s liquidity providers.
Larger lot sizes may also experience more slippage than smaller lot sizes depending on available liquidity and broker conditions.
Results can also differ between brokers because Gold price feeds are not identical.
Different quotes can create different pick levels, pending-order prices, and trade opportunities. A relatively small difference in the price feed can sometimes cause one broker to open a trade while another broker does not.
Because of these factors, users of Ultimate Scalper and Prop Scalper should not take an excellent backtest result and expect the same return or drawdown in live trading.
It is better to use conservative expectations and keep an additional buffer for slippage, execution differences, price-feed differences, and unfavorable live conditions.
Spread, commission, slippage, execution speed, lot size, liquidity, and price-feed differences can all affect the final result.
Backtesting remains useful for understanding the strategy and comparing profiles, but it should not be treated as a guarantee or exact forecast of future live performance.
Smart Gold Hunter remains:
No Grid
No Martingale
No Recovery
No Hedging
Single Entry with SL
One Shot logic
SGH Ultimate keeps the same controlled-risk philosophy of Smart Gold Hunter while adding more flexibility for users who want different trading styles and execution preferences.
