S&P will review Hungary’s sovereign credit rating today. The agency currently rates
Hungary’s long-term hard currency debt at the sub-investment grade rating of BB+ with a
stable outlook. We expect S&P to affirm Hungary’s rating today, and revise the outlook to
positive on the back of strong real GDP growth and a reduction in external vulnerabilities.
