VANTEX is a gold-focused automated trading robot (Expert Advisor) designed exclusively for XAUUSD, aiming to identify high-quality trading opportunities through multi-timeframe analysis, trend confirmation, and technical confluence.
Trade with structure, confluence, and disciplined risk managementMunkTrader Apex is an automated trading Expert Advisor (EA) for MetaTrader 5, designed to identify selective trading opportunities using higher-timeframe market direction, trend-strength filters, volatility analysis, and three complementary entry models.
Rather than entering every market movement, Apex evaluates market conditions and waits for its configured filters and entry conditions to align before opening a trade setup.
The EA combines automated market analysis with configurable position sizing, multiple take-profit levels, trade management, and daily and weekly risk controls.
Key Features
1. Multi-Timeframe Market Analysis
Apex evaluates the H4 and H1 timeframes to establish directional bias before considering entries on the M15 timeframe.
-
H4 EMA 50 and EMA 200 for higher-timeframe direction.
-
H1 EMA 21 and EMA 50 for additional directional confirmation.
-
H1 ADX to assess trend strength.
-
ATR-based volatility measurements to filter certain low-activity market conditions.
2. Three Entry Models
Apex includes three configurable entry models:
-
Trend Pullback: Looks for a retracement toward the 21-period and 50-period EMAs, supported by candle-pattern and RSI conditions.
-
Liquidity Sweep: Identifies potential false breaks of recent swing levels followed by a rejection and close back through the level.
-
Asian Session Breakout: Looks for a decisive price break beyond the calculated Asian-session range.
Each model can be enabled or disabled through the EA's input settings.
3. Confluence Scoring
The EA uses a configurable minimum score to help filter entry opportunities. Its scoring system considers agreement between entry models, ADX trend strength, the size of the trigger candle, and separation between higher-timeframe moving averages.
This allows traders to adjust how selective the EA should be when evaluating potential setups.
4. Four-Position Trade Management
When a valid setup is accepted, Apex attempts to open four positions in the same direction, each with its own take-profit target:
-
Position 1: 1R target by default.
-
Position 2: 1R target by default.
-
Position 3: 2R target by default.
-
Position 4: 3.5R target by default.
Here, R represents the initial risk distance between the entry price and stop-loss. These targets are configurable.
After the first two positions have closed, the EA attempts to move the remaining positions' stop-losses toward break-even, including a configurable point buffer. It can also trail the fourth position using ATR after the second target has been reached.
5. Configurable Position Sizing
Choose between:
-
Fixed lot mode: Uses the configured lot size for each position.
-
Risk-based mode: Calculates position volume using the configured percentage of account balance as the total risk budget for the four-position setup.
The EA checks broker volume requirements and skips a setup if the minimum permitted volume exceeds its calculated risk-based volume.
Actual risk can vary due to slippage, gaps, execution conditions, and other trading costs.
6. Built-In Risk Controls
Apex includes configurable protections designed to help manage trading exposure:
-
Daily loss limit, set to 2% by default.
-
Weekly loss limit, set to 5% by default.
-
Maximum of five setups per day by default.
-
Pause after a configurable losing streak.
-
Cooldown after a setup closes.
-
Optional peak-equity drawdown limit.
-
Stop-loss distance limits based on ATR.
-
Optional Friday entry cutoff and Friday position closure.
-
A time-based exit if the first target has not been reached within the configured number of entry bars.
When a daily or weekly loss guard is triggered, the EA attempts to close its managed positions and blocks further entry processing while the guard remains breached.
7. Economic News and Spread Filters
The EA includes an economic-calendar filter for relevant currencies, with USD events included by default. High-impact events are filtered by default, while medium-impact events can optionally be included.
The default news blackout is 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after a qualifying event.
A spread filter compares the current spread with ATR and can also use a fixed maximum spread in points.
8. Customizable Trading Settings
Users can configure the entry timeframe, trading sessions, entry models, minimum confluence score, stop-loss limits, take-profit multiples, lot sizing, news filtering, and risk limits.
The default entry timeframe is M15, with H4 and H1 used for directional analysis.
Recommended Setup
-
Platform: MetaTrader 5
-
Account type: Hedging account recommended; required for the intended four-independent-position setup.
-
Default entry timeframe: M15
-
Directional timeframes: H4 and H1
-
Suggested testing process: Begin on a demo account, verify broker compatibility, and test different market conditions before considering live trading.
The EA uses the broker's server time for its session settings and Asian-session range calculations. Session inputs should therefore be checked against your broker's server clock.

Before using the EA on a live account, test it in the MT5 Strategy Tester and on a demo account. Review drawdown, trade frequency, spreads, execution quality, and the effect of your chosen lot size.
