A daily-range statistics engine that classifies the last 90 days into Bullish / Bearish / Doji bars, splits them into Big & Normal groups, and projects today's expected open→high / open→low targets and bias straight onto your chart.
Full description
Average Day Range turns raw daily-bar history into an actionable intraday roadmap. Instead of guessing "where will price go today?", it measures what price actually did after the open over the last three months, groups the days by character (bullish, bearish, doji) and by size (big vs normal), and draws the expected wick bands and target levels around today's open. The indicator works on any symbol and any timeframe — it always reads the Daily timeframe internally.
Day classification — Every daily bar is classified as Bullish, Bearish or Doji:
Body ≤ 5% of the full range → Doji.
Refinement: body below 30% of the class-average body (bull vs bull, bear vs bear) → reclassified as Doji, iterated until stable.
Big vs Normal split — within each class, bars are split into BIG (range above the class average) and NORMAL (range below it), with separate average open→high / open→low wick statistics per group.
Today's bias engine — compares the forming day's wicks to the historical bands:
BULLISH — open→low matches the bull band (±5 pts)
BEARISH — open→high matches the bear band (±5 pts)
DOJI — both wicks match doji bands (±2 pts) and range inside the doji cap
MONITORING — no pattern match
Chart visuals — pre-calculation range boxes (expected wick bands around today's open), labeled target lines for avg open→high / open→low, doji markers, and a live 3-panel dashboard with counts, percentages and ✓/✗ wick checks.
