POSITION EXIT MANAGER is a manual exit panel for MetaTrader 5. It draws a table of every open position on your chart and puts the exit actions you would otherwise click through the terminal onto buttons. It does not open positions, it does not give signals, and it does not make any claim about what a market will do. It only changes what is already open, and only when you press a button. WHAT THE TABLE SHOWS One row per open position: # the row number Ticket the position ticket Symbol the symbol the position is on Volume the position volume in lots Entry the open price Stop the current stop loss Target the current take profit Profit the live profit or loss of the position, in account currency, including swap R the profit as a multiple of the risk the position was opened with, for example -0.35R for a position that is a third of its initial risk down The R column is the part worth explaining. When the panel first sees a position it records the distance between the entry price and the stop that was in place at that moment. That distance is kept in the terminal's global variables, so it survives a restart, and it is not rewritten when you move the stop later. The result is a running measure of the position against the risk it actually carried, rather than against a risk that changes underneath you. If a position was opened without a stop, the panel says n/a in the R column instead of inventing a number. THE BUTTONS Break-even all moves every stop to its entry price, with an optional offset in points Trail stop all moves every stop to a fixed distance from the current price. A stop only ever moves in your favour, never away from it Set SL/TP all places a stop and a target on every position, using the distances set in the inputs Close all closes every open position Close losers closes only the positions that are down Close winners closes only the positions that are up Close by profit closes a chosen share of the total open profit. The smaller winning positions are closed first, so the largest runner is the last one standing Refresh redraws the table Hide panel hides the panel without removing the Expert Advisor WHAT IT DOES NOT DO It does not open trades. It does not give entry or exit signals. It does not connect to anything, and it does not need an internet connection or a login to any service. It does not promise a profit, a win rate, or any other result. Those are a property of the market and of the decisions behind the trades, not of a panel that lists what is already open. WHAT IT IS USEFUL FOR Managing a group of positions by hand, where the terminal's own dialogs make you repeat the same steps for each one. Keeping a running record of how much risk each open position is carrying. Taking profit in a controlled way, instead of closing everything at once and giving back a good part of it. Scaling out of a set of winning positions while leaving the largest one running. REQUIREMENTS MetaTrader 5 build 2000 or later. The panel uses the standard library that ships with the terminal, so there is nothing extra to install. HOW TO USE IT Open a chart, drag Position Exit Manager onto it from the Navigator, and press OK. The panel appears in the top left corner of the chart. Use the inputs to move it, resize the text, or change what it manages. The panel manages every open position on the account by default. Set a magic number, or part of a position comment, in the inputs to limit it to your own trades only. The buttons act on the account immediately, so make sure automatic trading is allowed in the terminal settings before you use them.
