Ichimoku trend EA for XAUUSD: Tenkan/Kijun cross confirmed by the cloud and Chikou, stop beyond Kijun, Kijun trailing stop, risk-% sizing.
GoldLab Ichimoku Cloud is an Expert Advisor that trades the classic Ichimoku Kinko Hyo trend method. It was designed for XAUUSD (Gold) and also runs on forex pairs and other CFDs. Every trade has a stop-loss.
How it trades
- Trigger: a Tenkan-sen / Kijun-sen cross within the last few closed bars (default 3).
- Cloud filter: buys only when price closes above the Kumo (cloud), sells only when price closes below it.
- Chikou confirmation: the current close must be above (buy) or below (sell) the price 26 bars ago - the Chikou span is free of price.
- Stop-loss: placed beyond the Kijun-sen (or the cloud edge, whichever gives the protective level) plus an ATR buffer, kept between a minimum and a maximum ATR distance.
- Exits: optional take-profit as a multiple of the stop distance, a trailing stop that follows the Kijun-sen bar by bar, and an optional exit on an opposite Tenkan/Kijun cross.
- Signals are evaluated once per closed bar of the signal timeframe, so results do not depend on tick noise.
Risk management
- Risk % per trade (default 1% of equity) - the lot is calculated from the actual stop distance. A fixed lot can be used instead.
- Daily loss limit (default 3% of the day-start equity) - no new trades for the rest of the day once reached.
- Maximum spread filter and optional trading hours.
- Free-margin check, broker volume limits and stop/freeze levels are respected before every order. One position at a time; on netting accounts it never adds to or reverses a position opened by something else.

Recommendations
- Symbol: XAUUSD (or your broker's gold symbol). Signal timeframe: H1 or H4.
- Hedging or netting accounts. Low-spread (ECN / raw) accounts preferred for gold.
- Start on a demo account with the default 1% risk and test the settings in the Strategy Tester with your broker's data first. A VPS is recommended for 24/5 operation.
Important No martingale, no grid, no averaging - every position has a stop-loss. Ichimoku is a trend-following method: it loses in choppy, sideways markets and its strength is catching longer moves. Trading gold, forex and CFDs is high risk and you can lose your capital. No trading system wins every trade, and past or backtested results do not guarantee future results. Only trade money you can afford to lose and always test on a demo account first.
