Pure Price Breakout
Pure Price Breakout is an Expert Advisor for gold (XAUUSD) that trades one thing only: price breaking through its own recent highs and lows. It uses no indicators, no grid, no martingale and no averaging. Every trade has a fixed stop loss and a fixed take profit from the moment it is placed.
How it trades
- The EA reads raw candle prices and marks the swing highs and swing lows that the market has left untouched.
- It places pending stop orders around those levels and waits for price to break out.
- Several independent breakout layers work on the same swings with different timing, so entries are spread instead of concentrated in one order.
- Once a trade is in profit, a profit lock moves the stop loss behind the price to protect part of the gain.
- After a stop loss, the EA waits before trading the same level again.
Risk control
- One stop loss per trade, always set at order placement.
- Lot size is calculated automatically from your risk percent and stop loss distance. Change either one and the lot adjusts.
- Fixed lot mode and a maximum lot per order are available.
- Optional trading hours, rollover-hour block and weekend order removal.

History quality for this period was 42%, so part of the test used generated ticks. The largest drawdown occurred in the first weeks of the test. Past and backtest results do not guarantee future performance; slippage and spread on a live account will reduce results.
Parameters
- Magic number: identifier of the EA's orders. Use a different value for each chart.
- Lot mode: risk percent of balance, or fixed lot.
- Risk per trade, % of balance: share of the balance risked on one trade.
- Fixed lot: lot size used in fixed lot mode.
- Maximum lot per order: upper limit for the lot size.
- Stop loss distance: stop loss of every trade, in price units.
- Take profit, layer 1-5: take profit of each breakout layer, in price units.
- Profit lock: enables the stop loss that follows profit, its activation level and the share of profit protected.
- Swing detection: timeframe used to find swing highs and lows, and how far back the EA looks.
- Layers: enable or disable each breakout layer and set its confirmation.
- Entry inset: distance between the pending order and the swing extreme, per layer.
- Re-entry after stop loss: number of bars to wait before trading a level again.
- Time filters: hours with no new orders, daily entry window, and removal of pending orders before the weekend.
