Dx Xauusd

DX XAUUSD trades gold with twelve independent baskets. Each basket waits for its own time window and its own market condition, opens a first position and, if price moves against it, adds positions at measured distances, then closes the whole basket together at a small target. Every basket has its own magic number, so the EA always knows which position belongs to which basket, even after a restart.

Real-tick backtest

MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester, every tick based on real ticks, VT Markets XAUUSD, $10,000, January 2024 to October 2026, Level 1 (default):

  • Net profit +$52,967 (balance $10,000 → $62,967)
  • Profit factor 3.41, 2,220 trades, 34 of 34 months closed in profit
  • Maximum floating equity drawdown: 53 % (one basket during the gold move of 7 October 2026)

Risk Levels 1 to 7

Higher levels trade larger lots on exactly the same signals, so profit and drawdown grow together. Level 1 is the default and the level we recommend. In our real-tick test, Level 4 did not survive the 7 October 2026 gold move. Use higher levels only on money you can lose, and always with the Equity Stop.

Protection

  • Equity Stop: if the floating loss reaches X % of the balance, every position of the EA is closed and it stops.
  • Daily Loss Limit: closes and pauses until the next day.
  • Max Open Lots and Max Spread filters.
  • Every order is checked before it is sent: volume, margin, stop and freeze levels, trading session.
  • Restart safe: baskets are recognised by their magic numbers.

How it trades — please read

  • This is a basket / averaging (grid) system. Positions are opened without a stop loss; a basket closes together at its target.
  • Most baskets close within minutes or hours with a small profit. Drawdown comes from the few that run against you, and one of them can be large (53 % at Level 1 in October 2026).
  • If you want a hard limit on the account, set the Equity Stop.

Setup

  1. Attach to one XAUUSD chart (any timeframe). Gold symbols with a suffix (XAUUSD-ECN, XAUUSD.r, GOLD) work.
  2. Keep Level 1 unless you accept a larger drawdown.
  3. Server time: New York close brokers (GMT+2 winter / GMT+3 summer) work out of the box. For other brokers, set the Fixed GMT Offset.
  4. Keep MetaTrader 5 running 24/5. A VPS is recommended. Leverage 1:500 was used in testing.
  5. The EA uses the Magic Number up to +999. Do not run another EA in that range on the same symbol.

Minimum deposit

  • Recommended: $10,000 at Level 1 (the tested balance, leverage 1:500).
  • Never below $2,000. Under that the broker's 0.01 minimum lot makes each position larger than Level 1 intends, and one bad basket can empty the account.
  • Higher levels need proportionally more capital for the same safety.

Backtest results. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Averaging systems can draw down hard in a strong one-way gold move.
