Aurum Star Unified
Aurum Star Unified combines chart signals and automated trading in one Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5. You can use the signals to support your own decisions, or select automated trading so that the program evaluates entries and manages its positions under its rules.
How the trading approach works
The central approach follows market trends. It examines the broader direction of prices and looks for entry conditions on shorter timeframes. Several supporting approaches examine other patterns, including failed breakouts and renewed price movement. They supplement the central approach; they do not guarantee that losses from one approach will be offset by another.
The strategy was developed from research on gold. The program checks the chosen symbol's trading specifications rather than relying on a symbol-name or broker whitelist. Some supporting approaches retain price thresholds developed for gold. Technical support for a symbol therefore does not establish that every approach will trade on that symbol or produce a profit.
Signals and executed trades are different. A signal may appear while spread, available risk budget, news restrictions, volume limits, margin or broker checks prevent a new order.
Signals and automated trading
SIGNAL displays trading indications. AUTO evaluates and executes trades when its conditions and trading permissions are satisfied. The program starts OFF after attachment, restoration or a mode change. Starting AUTO requires two power-button operations within five seconds.
OFF stops the program's signal and automated strategy processing. Stop-loss and take-profit orders already registered with the broker remain there. Exits and trailing managed by the program require the appropriate active mode, connection and trading permissions. Check open positions before switching modes or turning the program OFF.
Choose a capital profile
A capital profile changes the strategy's sizing and position limits. It does not set your account balance, convert account currency or automatically change when your balance grows.
| Input selection | What it means |
|---|---|
| Starter | Up to two main entries per group and two concurrent groups, with a 0.07 lot cap. Its risk multiplier differs from the other profiles. |
| 300K profile | Up to two main entries per group and two concurrent groups. The failed-breakout approach has a 0.02 lot cap. |
| 500K profile | Up to three main entries per group and three concurrent groups. The failed-breakout approach has a 0.02 lot cap. |
| FULL (8,000 USD reference) | Up to three main entries per group, without a profile-specific cap on the number of concurrent groups. Shared risk-budget and broker limits still apply. |
The 300K and 500K names come from earlier research bands expressed in Japanese yen. The 8,000 USD wording identifies an earlier reference amount. These labels are not minimum deposits, recommended balances or limits on losses. Starter is not automatically the lowest-risk choice: its sizing multiplier also differs.
FULL retains broader position capacity and can involve larger account fluctuations. It does not mean maximum future profit. The capital profile and the allocation gauge are separate controls, so you can use FULL while reducing the allocation.
Adjust order sizing with the allocation gauge
The gauge provides five allocation settings, from Base to Set 4. Preview a setting and use Apply allocation when you decide to use it. Lower settings reduce the relevant sizing budgets and the shared budget used to admit orders. Different supporting approaches apply those budgets differently; one displayed multiplier does not directly scale every supporting order.
An allocation change affects new and additional orders. It does not resize existing positions or change their stop-loss or take-profit prices. Increases are rejected while this program has managed positions or pending orders.
This control lets you compare lower order exposure with the change in potential gains and losses. It does not let you specify a guaranteed maximum drawdown. Drawdown means the decline in account equity from a previous peak, including unrealized gains and losses. Actual drawdown may exceed a historical reference.
Understand the performance information
The gauge contains historical seven-year gold/USD reference figures from an earlier implementation. They are not measurements of this Market edition, live-account results or forecasts for your account. The underlying history-quality display was 66%, with known gaps in real-tick data. Unsupported profile and reference-balance combinations show N/A.
Historical comparison preceding version 1.242
This section records comparisons made while preparing version 1.242. Version 1.243 also changes selected strategy conditions. These historical comparisons do not establish the performance or equivalence of version 1.243.
The table reports backtests of the preceding Market candidate, before the panel-height display correction. Its results matched the established reference version for each period in the reported aggregate metrics and price-data fingerprints. Individual trade-by-trade equality was not established. These are not live-account results or new measurements of the display-revised version 1.242. At that stage, source comparison found only the display file changed. Those comparisons do not replace financial testing of version 1.243, which also changes selected strategy conditions.
| Period | Net profit (USD) | Cumulative return | Win rate | Profit factor | Maximum relative equity drawdown |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 year | 28,245.21 | 353.07% | 47.08% | 1.58 | 19.51% |
| 3 years | 231,424.76 | 2,892.81% | 47.20% | 1.60 | 23.16% |
Conditions: GOLD, H1, initial balance 8,000 USD, leverage 1:100, FULL profile, main/supporting allocation 100%/100%, European broker-clock setting, MetaTrader 5 real-tick testing. The one-year period runs from 9 September 2025 to before 9 September 2026; the three-year period starts on 9 September 2023 and ends at the same boundary. The first market tick in the three-year test is 11 September 2023. Return is net profit divided by initial balance, not an annualized rate. Win rate uses all trades: 242 wins out of 514 trades for one year, and 547 out of 1,159 for three years.
Additional slippage and additional round-trip commission inputs were zero; this is not a test of resilience to added costs. The reports display 100% real ticks, without independent proof of the genuine tick ratio. Separately measured tick-observed equity drawdown was 20.47% and 23.65%; it is not the same measure as the official drawdown in the table. Changing settings, broker, symbol, currency or costs can change results. Past profits do not guarantee future profits.
Reading the panel in a shorter chart
When chart height is limited, Up and Down move through the information panel while its tabs remain available. A taller chart shows the full panel. The product screenshots show the earlier version 1.242 during display checks, with trading OFF. They are not runtime screenshots of version 1.243. Figures marked Legacy 7Y inside the panel are older reference figures, separate from the comparison above; they are not measurements of the current executable.
Setup and operating requirements
Use MetaTrader 5 on a hedging account. Netting accounts are not supported. Begin by checking the intended symbol and settings on a demo account. The program uses its own M1, M5, M15, H1, H4 and D1 history; the chart timeframe is a viewing choice.
Select the broker's clock convention before use. CLOCK_EU and CLOCK_US both mean UTC+2/+3, using European or US daylight-saving dates respectively. CLOCK_UTC means UTC. CLOCK_US does not mean New York local time.
The retained news policy covers US consumer-price-index releases. It restricts entries around those releases and can close losing managed positions before the event. It does not cover every important announcement for every instrument.
The manual Bulk close panel can include positions opened manually or by other programs, depending on the selected filter. Review the displayed positions before the final confirmation. Pending orders are not included.
Purchase and activation use MQL5 Market. There is no separate account-number licence input. For product support, use the product comments or MQL5 messaging. Trading can result in losses; order checks and stop-loss calculations cannot guarantee execution prices or cap account losses.
Questions before purchase
Does one purchase include signals and automated trading?
The integrated product contains both modes. Displaying signals and starting automated trading are separate operations. A signal does not guarantee an order will be placed.
Does FULL mean the best return or a minimum balance of 8,000 USD?
No. FULL is a strategy profile with broader position capacity. The amount in its input label is a historical reference, not a minimum deposit. No profile guarantees a particular return.
Is Starter always safer?
Not necessarily. Starter has tighter position limits, but it also uses a different sizing multiplier. Compare the complete settings and their behaviour rather than choosing by the name alone.
Can I limit drawdown to a percentage with the gauge?
No. The gauge changes sizing and admission budgets for new and additional orders. It does not set a guaranteed loss ceiling, resize existing positions or change their stop-loss and take-profit prices. The sizing effect differs among supporting approaches.
Are the gauge results from this Market product?
No. They are historical gold/USD references from an earlier implementation. They are not live returns or measurements of the current Market executable. Unavailable reference combinations show N/A.
Does changing the chart timeframe change the strategy timeframe?
The chart timeframe changes the view. The program reads its own internal timeframes, from one minute through one day. The necessary price history must be available.
Can I use any symbol and account type?
The program checks symbol specifications without a symbol-name whitelist, but it requires a hedging account. Gold-based price thresholds remain in some supporting approaches. This is not evidence of profitability or identical strategy behaviour across instruments. Multiple installations should not be assumed to share one account-wide risk cap.
Will OFF close every position?
No. OFF stops strategy processing. Broker-registered stop-loss and take-profit orders remain, while program-managed exits require the appropriate active mode, connection and permissions. Manual Bulk close is a separate action and can include positions from other programs or discretionary trades, according to your selection. Pending orders are excluded.
Does the news function cover all market events?
No. It retains a policy for US consumer-price-index releases. It is not protection against every announcement, gap or unexpected event.
How do I obtain help?
Use the product comments or MQL5 messaging. Describe the chosen mode, profile, symbol, broker clock and visible status. Do not send account passwords or other authentication secrets.
Version 1.243 update details
In SIGNAL mode, buy markers appear below the relevant candle and sell markers above it. Signal history is retained through supported timeframe changes and reinitialization on the same chart. Repeated text-size calculations have been reduced. Discretionary assist is not included.
The stop-loss conditions of selected auxiliary strategies have been revised using a price range formed by highs and lows confirmed before entry. In AUTO mode, the distance to the stop is reflected in volume calculation. The configured loss budget and historical drawdown do not guarantee a maximum actual loss.
The historical results shown relate to the versions and conditions stated. They are not direct measurements of this updated release under the same conditions. Past results do not guarantee future profits.
