RoboX3Bolt — Consensus Advisor for Gold (XAUUSD M5)
RoboX3Bolt is an automated trading Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5, designed to trade gold (XAUUSD) on the M5 timeframe. The robot is based on a collective decision-making principle: before each entry, the system polls a large group of independent market methods from different analytical categories — trend, movement strength, momentum, overbought/oversold conditions, volatility, and volume — and opens a trade only when a confident majority of the “votes” supports one direction.
This approach filters out random market noise: isolated false signals, which are a common source of losses for simpler trading robots, do not meet the consensus threshold and are ignored. A trade is opened only when many factors agree simultaneously, making entries more selective and better supported.
How the Robot Works
- Analysis is performed at bar close — there is no repainting or adjustment to the current tick.
- At any given time, the robot maintains only one position — no grids, martingale, or averaging strategies that can lead to uncontrolled drawdowns.
- Every trade is immediately protected by a Stop Loss and Take Profit.
- Profitable positions are managed with a trailing stop, which follows the price and locks in part of the move.
- Before every request sent to the broker, the robot checks that sufficient funds are available, the trade volume is valid, and the stop levels meet the broker’s minimum distance requirements — helping ensure stable operation across different accounts and brokers.
The internal selection formula and the weighting of individual methods are proprietary and are not disclosed in this description.

Trading & Risk Management
- Lots — fixed trade volume. This is a key risk parameter. A range of 0.01–0.03 lots per $1,000 of deposit is recommended. The higher the lot size relative to the account balance, the greater both the potential profit and drawdown.
- StopLossPoints — Stop Loss size in points. Limits the loss on an individual trade. A smaller value provides tighter protection but increases the chance of being stopped out by market noise; a larger value gives the price more room to move but allows for a larger potential loss.
- TakeProfitPoints — Take Profit size in points. Defines the profit-taking target. It affects the risk/reward ratio and the frequency of profitable exits.
- TrailingStopPoints — trailing stop distance in points. Defines how far the stop remains from the price on a profitable trade. A smaller value locks in profits earlier; a larger value gives the trade more room to breathe but may give back more profit during a reversal. A value of 0 disables the trailing stop.
- TrailingStepPoints — minimum trailing stop adjustment step. Prevents excessive modifications: the stop is moved only when the improvement is at least this many points.
- SlippagePoints — maximum permitted slippage during execution. A higher value increases the probability of execution in fast-moving markets, but may result in a slightly worse entry price.
- MagicNumber — unique identifier for the robot’s trades. Allows it to distinguish its own positions from other positions and manual trades. Change this value if you run multiple robots on the same account.
Entry Logic
- MinimumMajority — minimum number of matching votes required to open a trade. This is the most important sensitivity parameter. A higher value means fewer entries, but a stricter consensus requirement; a lower value results in more trades, but also allows more weaker signals. It is the primary control for adjusting the balance between trading frequency and signal selectivity.
Analytical Method Parameters
This group contains period and threshold settings for each of the market methods used (moving averages, oscillators, trend indicators, volatility indicators, and volume indicators). The default values have been selected and tested for XAUUSD M5, so no changes are required to get started. Experienced users may fine-tune these parameters for a specific broker or market environment: increasing the periods produces smoother and slower signals, while decreasing them makes the signals more sensitive and faster; adjusting threshold levels changes the strictness of signal filtering for the corresponding method.
