⚙️ SMC / IPDA EA — Automated Expert Advisor for Smart Money Concepts Trading
SMC / IPDA EA is an Expert Advisor built for the MetaTrader 5 platform — the direct automated implementation of the Daily IPDA Cycle strategy engine originally used on NatTrade, our Forex education platform. It turns 8 real Smart Money Concepts into precise, rule-based execution logic, with zero human intervention at the decision moment.
🧠 Trading Logic The robot relies on a Confluence approach rather than a single indicator, running 8 genuine strategies in parallel — any number of which can be enabled independently:
- Judas Swing — catching the false break of the Asia session range and its reversal.
- CSD (Change of State of Delivery) — a shift in price delivery after a strong displacement candle.
- Psych Levels — reactions off round psychological price levels.
- FVG Retracement — trading the retest of Fair Value Gaps.
- AMD / Order-Flow Phase — reading the Accumulation-Manipulation-Distribution phases.
- Accumulation-Distribution — spotting a momentum climax followed by a range breakout.
- Order Blocks (Mitigation/Breaker) — reacting to the last institutional candle before a strong displacement.
- Vacuum Block (Gap) — exploiting untraded price gaps.
Every trade is triggered only once its source strategy's full condition set is met, with optional filters (execution Kill Zone window, higher-timeframe trend alignment, Friday avoidance) to raise signal quality.
📊 Entry & Exit System Entry: a signal from one of the 8 strategies, with an optional delay (in hours/bars) to avoid premature entries.
Exit (genuine staged-target system):
- 4 sequential profit targets 1R / 2R / 3R / 4R, each one closing 25% of the position size.
- The stop loss automatically trails to the previous target level once each target is hit — progressive profit protection with no manual work.
- Reversal exit: the remaining position is closed immediately once a trend reversal is confirmed by a configurable number of consecutive opposite candles.
- Automatic time-based close after 48 bars maximum trade lifetime, preventing capital from being locked in stagnant, sideways trades.
📉 Risk & Capital Management
- Position size calculated automatically as a fixed percentage of account equity (Risk %) or as a fixed lot size.
- Pre-trade margin validation before any order is sent, preventing order rejections caused by "not enough money."
- Strict compliance with each broker's Stops/Freeze Level before modifying any stop loss, preventing failed modifications too close to the current market price.
- Configurable hard cap on the number of simultaneously open trades.
⚡ Execution Engine & Visual Transparency
- A live on-chart dashboard showing enabled strategies, pending signals, and open trades in real time.
- Automatic drawing of Order Block and FVG zones, the Asia session range, and the 1R-4R target/stop-loss lines directly on the chart — the chart is never left empty, every decision stays visible and traceable.
- Robust execution-error handling (pre-validated checks rather than relying on retry-after-failure).
🧘 Eliminating Psychological Trading Errors This is the core idea behind SMC / IPDA EA: executing the strategy with pure mechanical discipline, free of fear, greed, revenge trading, or human hesitation:
- It never resizes a position under stress after a loss.
- It never holds a losing trade hoping for a reversal (the 48-bar time close prevents that).
- It banks profits progressively on a plan fixed in advance (1R/2R/3R/4R), instead of closing the whole position too early out of anxiety or missing the target out of greed.
- Every decision is based on a predefined programmatic condition, never on the trader's in-the-moment read of the market.
💱 Suitable Pairs & Timeframe
- The EA technically works on any symbol offered by the broker, and on any timeframe (the analysis timeframe is a selectable input, independent of the chart's own timeframe).
- Best and most consistent performance was observed on: major pairs (EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDJPY, USDCHF, AUDUSD, NZDUSD, USDCAD) and Gold (XAUUSD), thanks to the strategy's dedicated pip-value calibration for these instruments.
- Recommended timeframe: H1, for its balance between opportunity frequency and signal quality (fully adjustable and testable on other timeframes).
