CentGold Guardian is a fully automated Expert Advisor for gold (XAUUSD) built
specifically for cent accounts. It trades one cycle at a time, defends a losing
position inside a price zone, and closes the whole basket together on a fixed
money target that you set yourself.
Everything is measured in your account currency, not in pips. You tell the EA
the loss level at which it should start defending, and the profit level at which
it should close. On a cent account those numbers are simply the values you see in
the MetaTrader profit column.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Open
The EA opens one position at your chosen starting lot. Direction is decided
automatically by a two-EMA trend filter, or you can force BUY only, SELL only,
or random.
2. The zone opens
If the floating loss of that position reaches your trigger level, the EA marks a
price zone. The entry price becomes one edge of the zone and the current price
becomes the other edge. It immediately adds a hedge position in the opposite
direction with a multiplied lot.
3. Zone steps
From that moment, every time price touches a zone edge the EA adds a position in
the opposite direction with a larger lot. The direction always alternates, so the
EA can never fire twice on the same side. Each new position is larger than
everything before it, so the basket becomes directional and a real move away from
the zone pushes the whole basket towards your target.
4. Close and restart
As soon as the total profit of all open positions reaches your money target, the
EA closes every position at once. After a short pause it starts a fresh cycle and
picks the direction again.
MAIN FEATURES
Money-based targets
You work in account currency, not points. Set the loss level that opens the zone
and the profit level that closes everything. The EA reads live position profit
from the terminal, so it adapts to any contract size automatically and you never
have to calculate pip values.
Built-in dashboard
A clean panel on the chart shows the live state of the EA at all times: status,
number of open positions, current zone step, lots on each side, live basket
profit or loss, both zone edges, the zone height in points, the exact prices
where the next BUY and SELL steps will fire, the size of the next lot, completed
cycles, and account balance and equity. A progress bar fills green towards your
profit target and red towards the zone trigger.
Two control buttons
CLOSE ALL closes every position belonging to the EA immediately.
PAUSE stops new cycles from starting while still managing any basket that is
already open, so the EA finishes its current work and then stops cleanly.
Zone drawn on the chart
The active zone is drawn directly on the chart as horizontal lines, together with
the next BUY and SELL trigger levels, so you can see exactly what the EA is
waiting for.
Survives a restart
The zone and the step counter are stored, so closing MetaTrader or restarting
your VPS does not confuse the EA. It picks up the cycle where it left off.
Safety controls
Maximum number of zone steps, maximum lot size, an equity stop that closes the
basket if equity falls below a percentage of balance, a spread filter, and a
trading hours filter.
Broker compatible
Automatic detection of the correct order filling mode, retry logic on requotes
and temporary errors, correct lot rounding to the symbol step, free margin check
before every position, and a total volume check against the symbol limit.
REQUIREMENTS
Account type: HEDGING. The EA holds BUY and SELL positions at the same time and
will not start on a netting account.
Symbol: Gold. Designed and tested on the cent-account gold symbol.
Chart timeframe: any. The trend filter uses its own timeframe setting.
A VPS or an always-on computer is recommended so cycles are not interrupted.
IMPORTANT RISK INFORMATION
Please read this before buying.
CentGold Guardian increases lot size as the zone develops. This is a
martingale-type position sizing method. Cycles close in profit most of the time,
but when the market trends strongly in one direction the basket can grow and the
drawdown can become large. This is the nature of the strategy and it is not
hidden from you.
At the default multiplier of 2.0 starting from 0.05 lots, the lot sequence is
0.05, 0.10, 0.20, 0.40, 0.80, 1.60, 3.20, 6.40, 12.80. Check that your balance
and leverage can support the number of steps you allow.
Use the maximum lot setting, limit the number of zone steps, and enable the
equity stop. Test on a demo account first and run your own backtests before
using real money. Past or simulated results do not predict future results. Only
trade with money you can afford to lose.
INPUT PARAMETERS
General
Magic number - identification number for this EA's positions. Use a different
value if you run more than one copy.
Max deviation (points) - maximum allowed slippage when sending an order.
Order comment - text attached to every order the EA opens.
Money management (values in account currency)
Starting lot size - the lot of the first position in every cycle.
Hedge lot mode - how the next lot is calculated. Either previous lot multiplied,
or the net opposite exposure multiplied.
Lot multiplier - how much the lot grows at each zone step. 2.0 means double.
Max lot - hard ceiling for any single position. 0 means use the broker limit.
Open the zone at floating loss of - the floating loss that starts the zone and
the first hedge position.
Close ALL when basket profit >= - the total profit at which every position is
closed and the cycle ends.
Include swap in basket P/L - count swap as part of the basket result.
Zone settings
Zone height in points - fixed zone height. Leave at 0 to let the zone height come
from the loss trigger instead.
Extend zone by X points after each step - widens the zone after every step, so
each step needs a longer move. 0 keeps the zone fixed.
Buffer past level before firing (points) - price must pass a zone edge by this
distance before a step fires. Prevents spread noise from triggering steps.
Max zone steps per cycle - the EA stops adding positions after this many steps.
Entry direction for a new cycle
Direction for first position - automatic trend filter, always BUY, always SELL,
or random.
Timeframe for trend filter - the timeframe the two moving averages are read from.
Fast EMA period - period of the fast moving average.
Slow EMA period - period of the slow moving average.
Filters and safety
Max spread to open new cycle - a new cycle will not start above this spread.
0 disables the filter.
Delay before starting next cycle (sec) - pause between one cycle closing and the
next one opening.
Emergency close if equity < % of balance - closes the basket and stops the EA if
equity falls below this percentage of balance. 0 disables it.
Use trading hours filter - restrict new cycles to a time window.
Start hour - first hour when new cycles may open, server time.
End hour - last hour when new cycles may open, server time.
Dashboard
Show dashboard - show or hide the information panel.
Dashboard X - horizontal position of the panel in pixels.
Dashboard Y - vertical position of the panel in pixels.
Draw zone lines on the chart - show the zone and the next trigger levels on the
chart.
Panel background - background colour of the panel.
Header background - colour of the panel title bar.
Text colour - colour of the values.
Label colour - colour of the row names.
Profit colour - colour used for profit and for the BUY level.
Loss colour - colour used for loss and for the SELL level.

Adjust the trigger and target to match your balance. A smaller trigger produces
faster and more frequent cycles with a narrower zone. A larger trigger produces
slower cycles with a wider zone.
