The Fractal Alligator Scanner combines two classic tools that traders have used for years: swing fractals and Bill Williams' Alligator. It does the watching for you and keeps the chart clean.
What it draws:
- An up arrow above every confirmed swing high and a down arrow below every confirmed swing low. A fractal is only marked once the bars to its right have closed, so the arrows do not repaint.
- The three Alligator lines (Jaw, Teeth, Lips), so you see the trend state directly on the chart.
- Two dotted lines at the levels the scanner is currently watching for a breakout (the latest confirmed up- and down-fractal).
- An optional info panel (off by default) showing trend, watched levels, line gaps, ATR, and whether a setup is forming.
How it reads a setup:
- Trend is "up" only when Lips > Teeth > Jaw with enough separation (you set the minimum gap as a fraction of ATR), "down" when reversed, otherwise "no clean trend".
- In an up-trend it watches the last confirmed up-fractal; a close above it is a long breakout signal. The mirror logic applies to shorts.
- Optional pop-up and push alerts fire once per bar when a setup triggers, so you do not have to stare at the screen.
It does not trade. It is a scanner and a chart aid; the decision stays with you.
Why it is more customizable than most fractal/alligator tools:
- Adjustable fractal strength. The built-in MetaTrader Fractals is fixed at two bars per side; here you set the wing, so you choose between many signals or fewer-but-stronger ones.
- Non-repaint by design.
- ATR-validated trend gate, so flat "trends" get filtered out.
- Separate analysis timeframe: read fractals and trend from a higher timeframe while working on a lower one.
- Adjustable breakout buffer, so the line can sit exactly at the fractal arrow's tip or a margin beyond it, whichever you prefer.
- Display fully under your control: arrow symbol, colour and offset; optional level lines; optional info panel; pop-up and push alerts.
Works on any symbol and any timeframe. No DLLs, no external connections.

The Fractal Alligator Scanner combines two classic tools: swing fractals and Bill Williams' Alligator. It marks the swings, reads the trend and watches for breakout setups, so you do not have to. It is a chart aid and a scanner: it never opens or closes a trade. The decision stays with you.
WHAT YOU SEE ON THE CHART
- Up/down fractal arrows on every confirmed swing high and low. A fractal is marked only after the bars to its right have closed, so the arrows do not repaint.
- Two dotted lines at the levels currently watched for a breakout (the latest up- and down-fractal).
- The three Alligator lines (Jaw, Teeth, Lips) showing the trend.
- An optional info panel (off by default) with trend, watched levels, line gaps, ATR and setup status.
HOW IT READS A SETUP
- Trend is up only when Lips > Teeth > Jaw with enough separation (you set the minimum gap as a fraction of ATR), down when reversed, otherwise no clean trend.
- In an up-trend it watches the last confirmed up-fractal; a close above it is a long breakout signal. Mirror logic for shorts.
- Optional pop-up and push alerts fire once per bar.
WHY IT IS MORE CUSTOMIZABLE THAN MOST TOOLS
- Adjustable fractal strength: set how many bars per side define a swing (2 = standard, higher = fewer, stronger swings).
- Non-repaint by design.
- ATR-validated trend gate filters out flat, weak trends.
- Separate analysis timeframe: read fractals and trend from a higher timeframe.
- Adjustable breakout buffer: place the trigger exactly at the fractal arrow or a margin beyond it.
- Full display control: arrow symbol, colours, offset; optional level lines; optional panel; pop-up and push alerts.
SETTINGS
Grouped as General, Alligator, Trend gate, Fractals, Alerts. Every parameter is documented with its exact MetaTrader label and what it is good for in the included manual.
Works on any symbol and timeframe. No DLLs, no external connections. Decision-support indicator, non-repaint, it does not trade for you.
