TriZone Gold is a specialized algorithmic trading system engineered exclusively for XAUUSD on the M15 timeframe. Its core innovation is a real-time 3-Zone Regime Detector that classifies gold's current market state into one of three phases — RANGE, NORMAL, or TREND — and applies a dedicated entry, exit, and risk profile to each. The result is an adaptive engine that behaves correctly across the very different behaviours gold exhibits month to month.
The system uses no martingale, no grid, no averaging, and no hedging. Every position is opened with a fixed risk, a hard stop loss, and a take profit. Position sizing is calibrated, not pyramided. Risk Management
The default settings target a conservative profile (≤7% maximum drawdown over the 5-year test window). Users who require a more aggressive profile can scale the Lot input upward; users who require a more defensive profile can lower it. The EA does not modify lot size dynamically and never adds to losing positions.
The Hard Dollar Stop (HardStopLevel) is a per-position circuit breaker. With the default value of $50, any single position whose floating loss reaches −$50 is closed immediately, capping the loss on that trade. Other allowed values are $20, $30, or OFF. Because the EA opens only one position at a time, this effectively limits the worst-case loss per trade.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a martingale or grid EA?
No. TriZone Gold uses single-entry positions with fixed stop loss and take profit. It never adds to losing positions and never opens a new position in the same direction without a fresh signal.
Can I use it on a prop firm account (FTMO, FundedNext, etc.)?
Yes. The strategy respects daily and overall drawdown rules. The maximum drawdown across the 5-year backtest was 6.42% on equity, which sits well inside the typical 8–10% prop firm limit.
Does it work on other pairs?
The current parameter set is calibrated for XAUUSD M15. The underlying engine is symbol-agnostic, but parameters for other instruments are not provided in this release. Stick to XAUUSD M15 for the supported configuration.
What spread is acceptable?
The Smart Spread Guard rejects entries when the spread exceeds a normalized threshold. On a Raw/ECN account this is rarely an issue; on a Standard account with wide spreads you may see fewer entries.
Will the EA repaint or post-process its signals?
No. All signals are evaluated on closed bars only. There is no look-ahead, no future-reference function, and no signal repainting.
How frequently does it trade?
The backtest shows 287 trades over 5 years — roughly 57 trades per year, or about one per week on average. This is by design: the multi-zone filter rejects most setups and trades only the cleanest patterns.
Do I need a special VPS?
Any standard MT5-capable VPS works. The EA does not perform high-frequency operations and uses modest CPU and RAM.
