The Strategy

The Sandwich pattern occurs when a middle candle is "sandwiched" between two outer candles of the opposite direction. This represents a powerful price rejection or a "trap" at key levels. Input Parameters

  • Push Notifications: True/False (Send alerts to your smartphone).

  • Pop-up Alerts: True/False (Standard MT5 terminal alerts).

  • Sound Alerts: True/False (Audible notification on PC).

  • History Bars: Set how many past candles to scan for backtesting.

Mobile Setup Instructions

  1. Open your MT5 Desktop Terminal.

  2. Go to Tools > Options > Notifications.

[ SCANNER TIMEFRAME ]

  • Timeframe Selection (M1 - D1): Enable or disable the specific timeframes you want the scanner to monitor for Sandwich patterns.

  • InpOffset (Arrow Distance): This parameter controls the vertical distance between the signal arrows and the candles. Adjust this value to ensure the arrows are clearly visible and do not overlap with the price bars on your chart. (default 8000, if too far you can change to 1000-2000)

[ SMART FILTERS (Anti-False Signal) ]

  • MinBodyRatio: Sets the required size ratio between the outer "sandwich" candles and the inner candle. A higher ratio ensures stronger price action momentum.

  • FilterStrongClose: When enabled, the scanner only validates patterns where the third candle closes strongly, filtering out weak or indecisive rejections.

  • MinBodyPips: The minimum size (in pips) required for the signal candles. This helps filter out market noise during low-volatility sessions.
