What this is
Most gold EAs sell a beautiful equity curve and a big price tag. Behind the curve there’s usually a hidden grid, a martingale that doubles down on losers, or a strategy tuned so tightly to past data that it falls apart the moment it goes live. You only find out after you’ve paid and your account has taken the hit.
Odin Core Gold is the opposite, and it’s free. There’s no grid, no martingale, no averaging into losing trades and no hidden stop-loss. Every trade opens with a real stop-loss placed with your broker. What you see in the backtest is how it actually trades: one controlled position with every loss capped from the moment the trade opens.
It isn’t a miracle system and it won’t multiply your account in a month. But it’s a real automated gold EA built with the same discipline as our paid product, set to a small, fixed risk so anyone can run it and see how it behaves on a live chart.
Why it has a real edge
Odin Core runs the same engine core as our paid version Odin Prime Gold. It wasn’t built as a giveaway. It’s the production engine, released at a small fixed risk.
You don’t have to take our word for it. Run it in the Strategy Tester on any period you like, read every trade, check the drawdown, then put it on a demo account. A strategy with a real edge should hold up to that kind of check. Expensive EAs rarely let you check this freely, and Odin Core costs you nothing to try.
How it trades
- It runs an institutional-grade trading strategy engine, each with its own way of reading the market.
- It trades intraday on gold, fully automated, with no manual input needed.
- Every trade opens with a real stop-loss placed with your broker. It’s never hidden and never removed.
- It holds at most two positions at a time. No martingale, no grid, no averaging down.
Why fixed 0.01 lot?
Odin Core always trades 0.01 lots, whatever your balance. This is on purpose. Your risk per trade stays small and predictable, and a bad week can’t turn into a disaster. It’s the safest way to try automated gold trading.
Why there are almost no settings
The only setting is Allow Trades (on/off). The strategy and risk settings are fixed and already tuned for gold, so there’s nothing to get wrong.
If you want lot sizing that grows with your balance and more room to run larger accounts, take a look at Odin Prime Gold. It uses the same engine and protection, but suitable for a larger account from $500 onwards.
Built-in protection
- It skips trading on major US news days.
- It closes positions before the weekend, so there’s no weekend gap risk.
- It avoids thin holiday periods.
- Before every order it checks the spread, price freshness, margin and your broker’s rules.
- After a restart or disconnection, it picks up where it left off and won’t open duplicate orders.
- It only manages its own trades and never touches your manual trades or other EAs.
No trades yet?
That’s normal. Odin Core doesn’t trade every hour. It waits for its conditions and deliberately sits out news days, holidays and Friday evenings. The on-chart panel shows its status: if it says ARMED | Ready, everything is working. Run a backtest first to see how often it trades and what drawdowns to expect.
