Friends, I greet you!

Many of you ask me questions about how Waiting night differs from other night advisors.

I want to tell you a few important, in my opinion, moments when choosing an adviser.

When analyzing the work of an adviser, you should not rely only on profit as a percentage. There are other important indicators such as drawdown and profit factor.

With a high drawdown, you will be forced to trade with a smaller volume. So for a significant profit you need a balance more. In addition to the percentage drawdown, there is an important point that you should pay attention to - this is the average time to hold a trade.

If we are talking about scalping, then it is generally accepted that this is a quick way to withdraw profits, and transactions should not be open for a long time.

However, we often see a completely different picture when selling Expert Advisors.

Deals stay open for up to 8 hours on average - this is no longer very similar to scalping and more often looks like overexposed positions.

Such transactions lead to only one outcome - these are big losses.

Of course, the percentage of winning trades can help us, and as a result, the balance curve still goes up. We like it despite the fact that sometimes we get a loss that covers the monthly profit.

But there are other cases: when the profit of two months can go:

Imagine:

We trade on the m5 chart. That is, the decision to enter a trade takes place on the m5 timeframe. If the trade lasts 8 hours, then 160 bars pass from the moment of the entry point to the close. This is no longer like scalping and the closing of the transaction falls by chance. During this time, the price may go too far and the transaction is closed at a very unfavorable price, as can be seen in the screenshot above. Therefore, in such monitoring, even when using a small lot, the drawdown exceeds 10%. Because a higher lot will lead to bigger drawdowns and margin calls.

Often, such Expert Advisors have a large number of filters built in to overthrow such trades in history during optimization, and the number of profitable trades in a row gave us a large profit factor. When buying an advisor, I advise you to pay attention to the duration of the trades. During testing or analysis, this can be seen in MT5 reports as well as in signal monitoring, as can be seen in the screenshots above. What regarding Waiting Night: for all pairs, a time is set, longer than which transactions cannot be opened. Maximum = 300 minutes. Average trade time = 40 minutes. Waiting Night makes it possible to increase the load on the deposit and work more efficiently, with the same drawdown of 10%.
