SMC Pro Trader

SMC Pro Trader is a fully automated Expert Advisor built on the institutional trading methodology known as Smart Money Concepts, designed to identify and trade alongside the footprints left by banks and large institutional players in the forex and commodity markets. The strategy operates across multiple timeframes simultaneously, beginning with a top-down analysis on the Daily and H4 charts where it reads the position of price relative to the 200 Exponential Moving Average to establish the higher timeframe directional bias. A trade is only considered when both timeframes are aligned in the same direction, ensuring the EA never fights the dominant trend.

Once the bias is confirmed, the EA activates its Market Structure engine which scans for legitimate swing-based Higher Highs, Higher Lows, Lower Highs, and Lower Lows to map the current structural phase of the market. It then monitors for Break of Structure and Change of Character events that signal a potential shift or continuation in institutional order flow, using these structural shifts as the foundation of every trade decision rather than relying on lagging indicators alone.

The Smart Money layer then takes over, scanning for liquidity pools formed by equal highs and equal lows where stop losses from retail traders accumulate. The EA waits for a liquidity sweep, a sharp price movement that hunts those levels and then aggressively reverses, which is the signature move of institutional accumulation or distribution. Simultaneously it identifies Order Blocks, the last opposing candle before a strong impulsive move, and Fair Value Gaps, the inefficiencies left in price during rapid displacement, using both as high-probability entry zones.

Entry is executed on the M1 timeframe only after a confluence of conditions are met across M15, M5, and M3 confirmation timeframes including a volume spike, a bullish or bearish engulfing candle, Order Block reaction, and FVG presence. A proprietary Confidence Score engine weights all ten confluences and only fires a trade when the score reaches 85 out of 100, filtering out marginal setups entirely.

Risk is managed with surgical precision. Stop losses are placed behind the most recent swing structure with an ATR buffer, take profit targets are set at 1:2 risk-reward for the first target and the next liquidity zone for the second, positions are partially closed at TP1, moved to break-even at 1:1, and trailed using ATR for the remainder. The EA enforces a daily loss limit of 3 percent, weekly limit of 6 percent, maximum of 3 trades per day, and halts automatically after 2 consecutive losses. A dedicated Prop Firm Safe Mode adds an additional equity drawdown circuit breaker, making it fully compatible with FTMO, MyForexFunds, and similar funded account challenges.
