Pro Seconds Chart is a tick-based custom candle indicator focused on seconds charts, with additional support for non-standard custom intervals in MetaTrader 5.
It builds custom OHLC candles directly on the current chart using the symbol's available tick data. It is designed for traders who want to view price movement below the standard 1-minute timeframe, or use custom intervals such as 7 seconds, 40 minutes, 45 minutes, or 90 minutes.
The indicator does not trade, does not modify orders, and does not use DLLs, WebRequest, external files, or external services.
Because it is an indicator and does not send trade requests, it can run alongside separate Expert Advisors, trade panels, or trade management tools. Entries, exits, risk management, and order handling remain controlled by the user's own EA, manual trading setup, or MetaTrader 5 tools.
Key Features
- Tick-based custom candles
Candles are built from MT5 tick data instead of being calculated from standard chart candles.
- Preset seconds intervals
Quick presets are available from the dashboard. The dashboard preset intervals can be customized from the indicator inputs, for example: 1s, 3s, 5s, 7s, 15s, 30s, 45s, or 2m.
- Custom interval input
You can type your own interval directly from the dashboard, for example 7s, 45m, or 90m.
Custom intervals are supported from 1 second up to 24 hours.
- On-chart interval selector
The dashboard includes a dropdown-style interval selector, so the candle interval can be changed without opening the indicator settings.
- Three display modes
The dashboard can switch between:
Custom candles only
Custom candles plus the native MT5 chart
Native MT5 chart only
- History reload button
The HST button rebuilds the custom candle history from available tick data. This can be useful after opening a chart, changing the custom interval, or when MT5 has just loaded more tick history.
- Progressive historical loading
Historical custom candles are loaded progressively to help reduce chart interruptions while deeper history is being built.
- History loading step control
HistoryLoadChunkBars controls how many older custom bars are loaded per historical loading step.
- Optimized live tick rendering
During live updates, new ticks update the current custom candle instead of redrawing the full custom candle history.
- Price source selection
Candles can be built from Bid, Ask, Last, or Mid price.
- Last price fallback
If Last price is not available for the selected symbol, the indicator can optionally fall back to Bid or Ask data.
- Gap handling
FillEmptyIntervals can fill intervals without ticks using the last known price.
If disabled, intervals without ticks can remain empty.
- Long interval empty-bar control
HideEmptyLongTFBars helps avoid flat placeholder bars on higher custom intervals such as 40m, 45m, or 90m.
- Dashboard timer
The dashboard shows both the host chart timeframe countdown and the current custom candle countdown.
- Dashboard status
The dashboard shows the active price source and the number of custom bars currently built.
- Bid and Ask line control
Bid and Ask lines can be shown or hidden from the indicator inputs.
- Entry reference lines
When ShowEntryLines is enabled, the indicator can draw dotted entry reference lines for open positions and pending orders on the current symbol.
Position entry lines are shown in green.
Pending order entry lines are shown in yellow.
Stop Loss and Take Profit display remains controlled by MetaTrader 5's native trade level settings.
History and Candle Count
The number of visible custom candles depends on several factors:
- MaxBars
- available MT5 chart bars
- available broker tick history
- CustomHistoryMaxHours for custom intervals above 30 seconds
- CustomTickLimit for custom intervals above 30 seconds
- HistoryLoadChunkBars
MaxBars controls the maximum number of custom candles displayed. The effective value is limited between 10 and 50,000.
Increasing MaxBars allows the indicator to build deeper custom candle history. Historical data is loaded progressively to help reduce interface interruptions during deeper history loading.
Higher MaxBars values can temporarily increase loading time, CPU usage, and memory usage, especially on very short intervals such as 1-second or 5-second charts, or on symbols with dense tick activity.
For normal use, around 5,000 bars is recommended. Higher values should be selected according to the required history depth, symbol activity, broker tick history, and computer performance.
For long custom intervals, increasing MaxBars alone may not be enough. To display more 40m, 45m, or 90m candles, increase CustomHistoryMaxHours as well. This value controls how many hours of history can be used for long custom intervals.
CustomTickLimit controls how many recent ticks are requested for custom intervals above 30 seconds. A higher value can provide more history, but may require more processing depending on the symbol, broker, and available tick data.
Recommended Usage
For best results, attach the indicator to an M1 chart.
This indicator is designed for live charts and available tick history. Broker tick history availability can affect how much historical custom candle data is built.
For very short intervals and deeper history, increase MaxBars gradually and choose values according to your computer performance and the amount of tick data available from your broker.
Important Notes
Pro Seconds Chart visualizes custom candles on the current chart. It does not create a separate offline chart or custom symbol.
Standard MetaTrader 5 indicators such as Moving Average, RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands, and similar tools are calculated from the native host chart data, not from the custom candles generated by this indicator.
The indicator focuses on custom OHLC candle visualization. It does not provide a separate custom volume or tick-volume histogram for the generated candles.
Because the indicator relies on tick data, Strategy Tester visualization may not fully match live chart behavior.
Pro Seconds Chart is an indicator only. It does not open trades, close trades, modify orders, manage risk, or provide trading signals.
