Galaxy Edge is a next-generation trend-following indicator that combines local extrema detection with adaptive price noise filtering.
Unlike conventional trend tools, Galaxy Edge builds dynamic price channel boundaries based on the interaction between market volatility (ATR) and smoothed price levels.

The indicator tracks market cycles using defined lookback periods to identify:

  • significant highs,

  • significant lows.

A trend state change is confirmed only when price breaks through a calculated “inertia threshold”, significantly reducing false signals during narrow consolidation phases.
