Nexus Shield
- Experts
- 버전: 1.7
- 활성화: 20
Trend-following Expert Advisor for XAUUSD and NAS100 on H4, designed around risk constraints commonly used in prop-firm challenges.
Nexus Shield uses the same trading engine as Nexus Growth, with an additional risk-management layer designed to monitor daily and total drawdown limits and stop trading when the configured challenge target is reached.
The Same Trading Engine as Nexus Growth
The entry logic, two markets and stop-management system are the same as Nexus Growth.
The main difference is the risk-management layer, designed for challenge-style constraints rather than long-term account growth.
-
Direction: EMA and ADX filters determine the market trend.
-
Entry: A Donchian Channel breakout opens a position.
-
Exit: Each position is opened with a Stop Loss, followed by break-even management and then a trailing stop.
Risk Management Module
Nexus Shield continuously monitors the configured challenge constraints.
-
Daily drawdown is monitored against the configured limit, with a safety margin.
-
Total account drawdown is monitored continuously. A circuit breaker stops trading before the strict limit is reached.
-
When the configured challenge profit target is reached, the Expert Advisor stops trading.
-
When a limit is approaching, positions can be closed before the strict limit is reached.
The default limits are configured around commonly used challenge parameters: 4% daily drawdown and 10% total drawdown. These values are adjustable to match the rules of your firm.
The Expert Advisor cannot guarantee compliance with every prop firm's rules. The buyer must verify and configure the parameters according to the current rules of the chosen firm.
Challenge Simulation — 2016–2026
The Expert Advisor was tested using a sequence of simulated challenges.
Each challenge starts again from a nominal 100,000 USD account.
Simulation parameters:
-
Profit target: 10%
-
Daily drawdown limit: 4%
-
Total drawdown limit: 10%
Conservative
-
Risk per trade: 0.5%
-
Simulated challenges: 13
-
Successful challenges: 8
-
Historical simulation success rate: 61.5%
-
Limit violations: 1
-
Median duration: approximately 14 months
Balanced — Recommended
-
Risk per trade: 1%
-
Simulated challenges: 14
-
Successful challenges: 12
-
Historical simulation success rate: 85.7%
-
Limit violations: 0
-
Median duration: approximately 7 months
Fast — Not Recommended
-
Risk per trade: 2%
-
Simulated challenges: 28
-
Successful challenges: 21
-
Historical simulation success rate: 75.0%
-
Limit violations: 0
-
Median duration: approximately 3 months
The Balanced 1% setting is the reference configuration.
In this historical simulation, 12 out of 14 simulated challenges reached the target without a recorded limit violation. The worst daily movement was 2.31% against a 4% daily limit, and the worst total drawdown was 8.40% against a 10% limit.
The 2% setting reaches the target faster in this simulation, but it is not recommended. The higher risk per trade increases exposure during unfavourable periods.
These percentages describe this specific historical simulation. They should not be interpreted as a probability of passing a future prop-firm challenge.
Extended Historical Test
The 2016–2026 period was favourable to the trend-following approach used by the strategy.
When the test is extended back to 2006, including periods without sustained trends in gold, the historical simulation produces a substantially less favourable result.
At the 1% risk setting, the simulated challenge success rate falls to approximately 49%.
At the 2% risk setting, the daily drawdown limit is breached repeatedly during the less favourable periods.
This extended test is included to show how the strategy behaves when the market environment is less favourable to trend following.
Before Starting a Challenge: Check Your Prop Firm's Rules
Prop-firm rules differ between companies and can change over time.
Before using an Expert Advisor in a challenge, verify the current rules of your chosen firm.
In particular, check:
-
Are Expert Advisors and fully automated trading allowed?
-
Is there a maximum risk per trade?
-
What are the exact daily and total drawdown limits?
-
Is there a minimum number of trading days?
-
Are there restrictions on trading around news events?
-
Does the account use hedging or netting?
Using an Expert Advisor that is not permitted by a firm may invalidate the challenge.
Verifying the current rules and configuring the EA accordingly is the responsibility of the buyer.

Important Information
All figures presented above are simulated Strategy Tester results based on historical market data.
The tests include the specified spread and commission but do not reproduce actual live-market slippage.
These are not live trading results, and historical performance does not guarantee or predict future results.
Passing a simulated challenge does not mean that the same challenge will be passed under live trading conditions.
Prop-firm rules, execution conditions and account conditions may differ from the historical simulation.
Trading leveraged CFDs involves a high level of risk and may result in the loss of capital.
Before using the Expert Advisor in a live environment, testing it on a demo account is recommended.
