Valeria Zen is a multi-pair mean reversion grid EA for MetaTrader 5. It trades the statistical tendency of currency prices to revert to their mean, using grid averaging with velocity-aware position management and a layered protection system.

How it thinks and trades
Valeria Zen manages a portfolio of ten Forex pairs: USDJPY, AUDCAD, EURGBP, CHFJPY, EURCAD, EURAUD, EURJPY, GBPUSD, EURUSD and NZDCAD. Each pair has its own entry parameters, optimized in-sample until mid-2025 and validated out-of-sample until June 2026.
An entry requires four independent filters to agree at the same time: Z-Score deviation, a reversal candle pattern and two additional confirmations. If price continues against the position, the EA builds a better average entry through grid averaging, and the entire grid closes once price reverts far enough to reach the shared take profit.
Two mechanics shape how the grid behaves once it is open. The velocity engine delays grid additions during fast adverse moves, waits for momentum to subside and then enters at a better price with distance-scaled lots. The swap-aware take profit adjusts the target to compensate overnight swap costs, in three modes: off, cover costs (default) or full adjustment. An optional hedge grid adds a counter-direction grid per pair under strict rules — opposite direction only, primary grid depth of L2 or deeper required, and it closes independently.
Lot sizing
Lot size is derived from distance rather than from accumulated losses. When a market is moving quickly the EA waits and enters later with a cumulated lot size at a better price, which produces less drawdown than a fixed-lot grid over the same move. Lots per grid level scale depending on the velocity of the symbol by default and are capped at a configurable size, so the progression is bounded and known in advance.
In auto lot mode you choose a risk level from low to extreme and the EA calculates the base lot size from account balance, capped by the max lot parameter. A classic fixed-lot grid remains available for traders who prefer it; both modes can be compared directly in the Strategy Tester.
Risk architecture
Three protection layers run independently on every tick. Drawdown control trims positions gradually per grid once floating loss exceeds its threshold. Margin protection acts at account level in emergencies. The equity stop is a hard backstop that closes a grid outright. Alongside them, a currency correlation filter limits same-direction exposure per currency to two grids by default, which prevents concentrated risk when several EUR or JPY pairs signal at the same time.
None of this happens in a black box. The on-chart dashboard shows trade status, floating P&L, weighted pips, effective take profit, swap adjustment, velocity status, signal gauges and realized statistics per pair.
What Valeria Zen never does
Lot sizing is never left uncontrolled: the grid either scales lots by distance or keeps them fixed, and in both cases the progression is defined in advance rather than driven by accumulated losses. The grid itself is never blind — every re-entry requires a fresh Z-Score confirmation, so if the statistical edge disappears no further positions are added. And risk is never left unchecked: the three protection layers, the velocity engine and the correlation filter keep exposure within the limits you define.
Requirements
- Any M15 chart. The EA trades all ten pairs independently of the chart symbol and creates its own indicator handles internally.
- Minimum balance: EUR 1,000 for three pairs at low grid risk. Recommended: EUR 3500 or more for all ten pairs.
- Leverage of 1:100 or higher. Higher leverage allows more pairs with less capital.
- All traded pairs visible in the Market Watch window.
- A VPS is recommended for uninterrupted 24/5 operation.
Quick setup
Valeria Zen ships with optimized default settings for all ten pairs. Most users only need to adjust five inputs:
- Grid strategy — smart lot scaling (default and lower risk), fixed lot grid (more conservative)
- Lot mode — auto lot with a risk level of low, medium, high or extreme.
- Pair selection — each of the ten pairs can be switched on or off independently.
- Equity stop loss — 25% by default.
- Drawdown Trim — 15% by default.
All remaining per-pair and system-wide parameters are documented in the Valeria Zen Manual V4.5.
Risk disclosure
Valeria Zen uses grid averaging, which means multiple positions may be open at the same time. The three protection layers, the velocity engine and the correlation filter actively manage that exposure, but grid strategies carry inherent risk during strong trending markets, and mean reversion is a tendency rather than a certainty. Past backtest performance does not guarantee future results. Only trade with capital you can afford to lose.
