How does it work?
The core strategy is built on EMA pullback entries — one of the most reliable and proven methods in technical trading. The Expert Advisor (EA) waits for the price to retrace to a dynamic EMA level and confirms the entry by validating the candlestick body, ensuring that each trade is opened only in the direction of momentum and the trend, never against it.
Each potential signal must pass a confluence of filters before being executed:
— MACD Filter (12/26/9): confirms the momentum direction using the histogram and the signal line crossover. No trade is opened if the momentum contradicts the trend.
— Dual EMA Filter (20/50): confirms the macro trend direction. Buys are only enabled when the EMA20 is above the EMA50, and sells only when it is below. This eliminates counter-trend trades that can ruin small accounts.
— Configurable Confluence: The MinFiltersToPass parameter allows you to define how many filters must match to authorize an entry, giving the trader complete control over the system's aggressiveness.
Integrated Price Action Patterns
Shadow EMA Pro doesn't rely solely on indicators. It incorporates automatic recognition of three high-probability candlestick patterns that act as additional entry confirmations:
— Bullish/Bearish Harami: Detects reversals within high-range parent candlesticks. — Tweezer Bottom/Top: Identifies double lows and highs with configurable pip accuracy. — Bullish/Bearish Marubozu: Captures pure impulse candlesticks with a dominant body over the overall range.
Each pattern is visually marked on the chart with real-time color labels.
Professional Risk Management
The EA includes a comprehensive money management system with three trading modes:
— Fixed Lot: Constant position size defined by the user. — Fixed Percentage of Balance: The lot size is automatically calculated based on the chosen risk per trade (1% by default). — Dynamic Equity: The calculation adjusts to the current equity in real time to protect accumulated profits.
In addition, each trade includes: — Automatic Stop Loss and Take Profit with a configurable minimum risk/reward ratio (default 1:3). — Dynamic Trailing Stop that locks in profits as the price moves. — Automatic Break Even that moves the Stop Loss to the entry price once the defined threshold is reached. — Daily loss limit as a percentage: the EA automatically stops trading if the maximum daily drawdown is exceeded. — Control of simultaneous positions, maximum total volume, and margin usage.
Real-time Dashboard
The integrated visual panel displays the following at all times:

Turbo Mode
For traders with a more aggressive profile, Turbo Mode extends signal lookback and applies a configurable lot multiplier, increasing the frequency and size of trades within the established risk limits.
