Structure Zones MTF

Structure Zones MTF draws market structure on the chart: confirmed swing breaks (BOS and CHoCH), liquidity sweeps, fair value gaps and order blocks, together with a panel that shows the structure trend on several timeframes.

All calculations use closed bars only. A signal that has appeared stays where it is and is not removed or moved later. The indicator does not open, modify or close trades.

Structure

A swing high or low is confirmed after a set number of bars have closed on its right side. When a bar closes beyond the last confirmed swing, the indicator draws a line from the swing to that bar. The line is labelled BOS when the break continues the current direction and CHoCH when it changes it.

Liquidity sweeps

When a bar trades beyond the last swing but closes back inside, the level is marked as a sweep with a dotted line and a dot on the bar.

Fair value gaps

A three-candle gap larger than a chosen share of ATR is drawn as a rectangle. The rectangle is extended to the right until price has traded through the whole gap.

Order blocks

After a break of structure, the last candle against the move at its origin is drawn as an order block. The block is extended until price closes beyond it, or until the first touch if that option is selected.

Clean chart

The number of open zones is limited, 12 by default. Zones that are finished are removed from the chart, or kept if you turn this option off.

Multi-timeframe panel

The panel shows the structure trend of the chart timeframe and of four other timeframes of your choice, using the same swing rules.

Alerts and buffers

Alerts are available for breaks and for sweeps, as a terminal alert and as a push notification. The indicator has four signal buffers (bullish break, bearish break, bullish sweep, bearish sweep) and one trend buffer, so it can be read from an Expert Advisor with iCustom.

Notes

A swing is confirmed with a delay equal to the bars to the right input, so breaks and sweeps refer to swings that are already confirmed. There is no single agreed definition of an order block; the rule used here is described above. The indicator shows structure and does not predict price.
