Multi-Currency & Multi-Timeframe Automated Trading System for MetaTrader 5
Precision. Discipline. Multi-Dimensional Market Analysis.
CHRONOS AEGIS MCMTF is a sophisticated automated trading system for MetaTrader 5, designed to combine multi-currency portfolio configuration, multi-timeframe signal processing, market-noise filtering, and configurable trade management within a unified trading framework.
Rather than relying on a single chart timeframe, the system supports a structured trading architecture across multiple currency pairs and timeframe slots. Its configurable portfolio engine allows traders to tailor the active trading universe to their preferred balance between trading frequency, selectivity, and operational complexity.
1. Multi-Currency Portfolio Architecture
CHRONOS AEGIS MCMTF supports seven major currency pairs:
-
EURUSD
-
GBPUSD
-
USDJPY
-
USDCHF
-
USDCAD
-
AUDUSD
-
NZDUSD
Each currency pair has its own activation setting, allowing traders to select the instruments that suit their broker, trading conditions, and portfolio preferences.
The EA also includes portfolio selection modes and an option to force all seven supported pairs into the active configuration. This provides a flexible foundation for multi-instrument deployment.
Key advantages:
-
Configurable currency-pair selection
-
Multi-instrument trading architecture
-
Per-symbol position limits
-
Independent trade identification by asset and timeframe
Please note that actual simultaneous multi-currency execution depends on the selected settings, broker symbols, available market data, and trading conditions.
2. Multi-Timeframe Signal Processing
The system provides configurable timeframe slots for:
-
M1 — short-term signal processing
-
M15 — intermediate timeframe analysis
-
M30 — medium-term trading opportunities
-
H1 — hourly market structure
-
H4 — higher-timeframe context
-
D1 — longer-term market perspective
Each timeframe slot can be enabled or disabled independently.
This architecture allows the EA to organize trading activity across different market horizons rather than depending exclusively on one chart interval. Asset-specific profiles and timeframe-related parameters help structure trade decisions for different currency pairs and trading horizons.
The supplied configuration enables M1, M30, H1, and H4 slots, while M15 and D1 are disabled by default in the tested setup.
3. Jev System One Gatekeeper — Market Noise Filtering
A key component of CHRONOS AEGIS MCMTF is the Jev System One Gatekeeper, designed to screen market conditions before trading decisions are executed.
Its configurable controls include:
-
Spread filtering: evaluates spread conditions against configured limits.
-
ATR-based volatility filtering: defines minimum and maximum volatility boundaries.
-
Spread-to-ATR ratio: evaluates trading costs relative to market movement.
-
Rollover protection: provides a configurable guard for rollover-period conditions.
-
Consecutive-loss guard integration: can connect filtering behavior with loss-cooldown management.
The objective is to reduce exposure to unsuitable market conditions, including excessive transaction costs and market environments with insufficient or excessive volatility.
Filtering does not eliminate slippage, execution risk, or losing trades. Actual effectiveness depends on market conditions and configuration.
4. Configurable Money Management
CHRONOS AEGIS MCMTF supports three lot-sizing modes:
Fixed Lot Mode
Uses a predefined base lot size. The supplied configuration uses 0.01 lots.
Balance-Step Mode
Adjusts position sizing according to a configured account-balance step.
Risk-Percentage Mode
Calculates position size using a configured risk percentage and stop-loss distance.
Additional controls include a maximum lot ceiling, allowing the trader to define an upper limit for position sizing.
These options allow the EA to be configured for different account sizes and risk preferences. Risk-based sizing should always be checked against the broker's contract specifications, tick values, stop-loss distances, and account currency.
5. Trade Management and Exit Controls
The EA includes several configurable trade-management mechanisms.
-
Time-based exit: can close positions after a configured number of bars relative to the applicable timeframe.
-
Custom take-profit and stop-loss settings: allow the use of profile defaults or user-defined pip values.
-
Break-even controls: provide configurable trigger and lock parameters.
-
Emergency-exit option: includes a configurable M15-based emergency exit mechanism.
-
Mental-stop option: provides a configurable conviction-inversion exit mechanism.
-
Reverse-recovery option: provides an optional reverse-trade mechanism with configurable trigger timing, lot fraction, take-profit multiplier, and stop-loss multiplier.
These optional mechanisms are not all active in the supplied backtest configuration. Traders should review each setting before enabling additional recovery or exit features.
6. Market-Regime and Loss Controls
The system includes a configurable Choppiness Index filter designed to identify market conditions that may be unsuitable for the strategy.
It also provides optional controls for:
-
Consecutive-loss cooldowns
-
Daily-loss stopping limits
-
Rollover-period protection
-
Bar-entry cooldowns
-
Startup entry behavior
These controls allow traders to adapt the EA's operating behavior to their own risk-management requirements.
Important: some protective controls are disabled in the supplied test configuration. The presence of a setting does not mean the corresponding protection is active by default.
7. Position and Portfolio Limits
CHRONOS AEGIS MCMTF provides configurable maximum position counts per symbol and per timeframe slot.
These controls are intended to help manage the number of simultaneous positions within the EA's portfolio architecture.
Position limits are not equivalent to a guaranteed account-level drawdown limit. Aggregate exposure, correlated currency positions, margin usage, and market gaps must still be considered.
8. Backtest Results
The supplied Strategy Tester report records the following results for the tested configuration.
-
Test instrument: USDJPYp
-
Test timeframe: M5
-
Test period: August 1, 2025 – October 25, 2026
-
Initial deposit: $10,000
-
Historical data quality: 100% real ticks
-
Total net profit: $2,448.12
-
Profit factor: 3.00
-
Total trades: 5,034
-
Profitable trades: 4,178 (83.00%)
-
Maximum balance drawdown: 0.74%
-
Maximum equity drawdown: 0.79%
-
Recovery factor: 25.03
These figures are results from the supplied historical test, not guarantees of future performance. The report tests USDJPYp as a single symbol, so it should not be interpreted as proof that all seven currency pairs were simultaneously tested in this particular run.
Results may differ materially with broker execution, spreads, commissions, swaps, leverage, account currency, and live-market conditions.
