USD/JPY Signal Assistant
English product description for version 1.00
An indicator for manual USD/JPY trading assistance in MetaTrader 5. It displays entry signals, current stop-loss levels, rule-based exit guidance and a risk-based suggested lot size. Stop adjustment and exit messages support the ongoing management of active signals.
Product descriptionUSD/JPY Signal Assistant is designed for traders who want to follow clearly defined entry signals and their associated protective stops directly on the chart. It brings together the essential information so you can review potential trades and position sizes and clearly associate any required adjustments with the relevant signal.
The indicator evaluates USD/JPY using a fixed combination of different trading approaches. Signals are based on H4. Changing the visible chart timeframe does not change this underlying signal timeframe. Depending on market conditions, buy and sell signals may occur, and several signals may be active at the same time.
When a new signal appears, the entry price and current stop-loss level are displayed. A calculated suggested lot size is also provided if the available account and broker data allow a calculation within the selected risk budget. The applicable trading rules determine which targets, stop adjustments and exit messages apply to the signal. Estimated amounts in EUR or USD help you assess risk and price targets. The indicator does not open, modify or close orders; execution and position management remain your responsibility.
Main features· Developed specifically for USD/JPY, with a fixed H4 signal timeframe.
· Buy and sell signals with clearly defined entry and stop-loss prices.
· Up to six simultaneously active signals, each with its own signal number and separately selectable details.
· Fixed price targets for signals that use them, plus ongoing stop-loss and exit guidance for dynamically managed signals.
· Suggested lot size based on current account equity, the selected risk profile and broker specifications for EUR and USD accounts.
· Estimated initial risk, monetary amounts at the stop-loss and fixed take-profit levels, and a margin estimate stored when the signal starts.
· Movable and collapsible information panels with light and dark themes.
· Configurable historical setup display and optional notifications.
Keeping track of multiple signalsThe information panel shows the operating status, times, selected risk profile and number of active signals. In the signal panel, you can select an active signal to view its associated trading levels and values. The signal number and direction help you distinguish entries, stop adjustments and exit messages.
Up to six active signals are tracked separately. They may point in the same direction or in opposite directions. Whether you can actually hold multiple or opposing positions depends, among other factors, on your account’s hedging or netting model. The display does not confirm that any account positions have been executed.
Risk and position sizing
The suggested lot size is calculated using an internal formula based on account equity, the risk profile and the broker specifications available in MT5. It is non-binding and may differ from the position size required or permitted for your actual execution. Check the suggestion against your broker’s current specifications before placing each order. The selected percentage budget is allocated across the signals; it is not the risk per individual trade.
| Risk profile | Total risk budget |
| Conservative | 1% |
| Standard | 3% · Default and recommended reference |
| Aggressive | 5% |
| Custom | Greater than 0%, up to and including 10% |
The suggested lot size, initial risk and margin estimate remain stored for the signal. Margin is the estimated collateral requirement, not a loss limit. Monetary amounts at SL and TP show the estimated price-based result excluding commission and swap. The lot-size calculation includes a cost allowance; actual broker fees are not retrieved.
Higher risk settings can significantly increase losses and drawdown. They do not improve signal quality. Actual account positions are not read. You must account for additional trades and differences in execution in your own risk planning. Trading decisions, execution and position management are your responsibility. The calculated budget is not a guaranteed limit on actual losses.
Stop-loss adjustments and exitsThe predefined trading rules determine how each signal exits. Some signals have a fixed target, displayed as a specific price. Rule-based stop-loss adjustments can also occur for signals with a fixed target. For signals without a fixed TP, ongoing exit guidance is provided through the current stop-loss and exit messages. Time-based exits may also apply. A trailing stop can also protect profits when the price moves favorably.
You must apply or check stop adjustments and exits yourself on the relevant position. New entries occur only between 08:00 and 20:00 broker time. Guidance for already active signals continues outside this window and requires a connected MT5 terminal with the indicator running.
Confirmed signals and ongoing adjustments
Confirmed entry signals are not subsequently moved to other candles. The original entry, initial stop-loss and any predefined fixed target are not changed retrospectively to present better results. Rule-based adjustments to the current stop-loss are part of ongoing signal management and are explicitly displayed.
Display and settingsYou can adjust the risk profile, panels, chart labels and notifications. In addition to broker time, you can display your computer time or a custom UTC offset. This user-time display does not change the entry window.
Historical setups can be shown in full color, neutral gray, a reduced display or hidden. Up to 1000 setup groups can be displayed, depending on the available history. Historical initial values include the entry, SL and, for signals with a fixed target, the original TP. Actual executions, subsequent stop-loss paths and closed account positions are not reconstructed.
How to useAttach the indicator to a USD/JPY chart and select your risk profile. When a new signal appears, review its direction, price levels and suggested lot size. Execute trades and subsequent adjustments manually, paying attention to the signal number. We expressly recommend testing the indicator on a demo account before trading with real money.
Important informationA displayed entry is a reference price, not a guaranteed execution price. Broker data, spread, fees, swap, slippage and your response time can affect actual results. Signals can result in losses and consecutive losses. Historical displays and Strategy Tester examples illustrate how the product works and do not guarantee future profits.
