Not every breakout deserves an order.

A price level is a possible entry, not a complete trading decision. Onyx Gold 1M brings predefined M1 and M5 breakout modules together with entry-quality and cost controls, so you can evaluate a structured selection process rather than an order on every move.

What you control

• Enable the predefined M1 and M5 modules separately.
• Choose whether to apply the available M1 cost and continuation-quality controls.
• Set entry hours, a spread cap and your method of position sizing.
• Review pending orders, positions and operating conditions in the ONYX panel.

Its entry filters use predefined rules. They do not train a model or optimize themselves online. Filters can reject winning trades as well as losing ones; judge them from the resulting trade sample, costs and drawdown.

The ONYX approach

ONYX approaches trading as an engineering task: define entry rules, calculate exposure, specify management and examine the resulting orders and executions in testing. Historical checks help evaluate behaviour; they do not certify future returns.

Requirements and operating limits

A MetaTrader 5 hedging account is required. Evaluate the product on your broker's gold symbol and check contract size, price units, tick value, volume constraints, stops, margin and execution costs. No universal minimum deposit or broker compatibility is promised. Keep the terminal connected, running and authorized for algorithmic trading. A VPS is optional infrastructure and is not included.

The M1 and M5 strategy timeframes are predefined; the product name does not mean both modules trade every minute. Cost-per-lot is an estimate in account currency, not a live broker fee feed. The adaptation switches affect their documented M1 controls, not every market or every module. There is no customer-selectable news filter in this edition. Entry filters do not guarantee that existing pending orders cannot execute later. Rejected-level memory is not a promise of complete restart recovery.

Understand the sizing

Percentage sizing uses account balance for each order. Several orders or modules can create combined exposure beyond the percentage selected for one order. Initial stop-loss price risk is estimated from the normalized entry and stop prices. If the risk budget cannot support the broker's minimum volume, the entry is skipped instead of increasing the lot. Invalid fixed volumes are rejected. Pre-entry checks include current margin and broker price and volume constraints; they cannot reserve margin for future pending-order activation. Multiple orders or strategies can create combined exposure. Review the actual volume and cash risk, not only the percentage shown in Inputs. Commissions, swaps, slippage and gaps can increase losses.

• ClientLanguage: Language compatibility selector. Both available options display the panel in English.

• UID: Instance identifier for separating this bot’s orders and positions; does not change account-wide risk.

Inputs: lot and risk

• InpLotCalcMode: Select automatic risk profile, custom percentage or fixed size. Sizing is not a guaranteed loss cap.
• InpAutoRiskMode: Used only with automatic risk profile; predefined risk selection.
• InpRiskPercent: Percentage sizing uses account balance for each order. Several orders or modules can create combined exposure beyond the percentage selected for one order.
• InpFixedLot: Volume selected for fixed sizing; review actual broker volume constraints before use.

• EnableStrategy1: Enable the predefined M1 strategy profile.
• EnableStrategy2: Enable the predefined M5 strategy profile.

Inputs: adaptation

• EnableMarketAdaptation: Enable the M1 execution-cost entry filter; does not automatically train a model.
• EnableRegimeQuality: Enable the predefined M1 continuation-quality filter; does not optimize parameters online.

Inputs: stops and trailing

• LabRoundTripCostPerLot: Estimated round-trip trading cost per lot in account currency, used by trailing protection.

Inputs: execution

• MaximumSpreadPoints: Maximum spread allowed for new entries, in broker points; zero disables this cap.
• MaximumSlippage: Requested maximum execution deviation, in broker points; broker execution is not guaranteed.

Inputs: trading hours

• SHInput: Start hour for new entries in broker server time.
• EHInput: End hour for new entries in broker server time; 24 means midnight.

Inputs: panel and chart

• ShowPanel: Display the information panel; it does not authorize trading.
• ShowChartBackground: Apply the dark chart theme.
• ShowTradingWisdom: Reserved compatibility input; active R1 panel does not consume it. Do not advertise a working quotes toggle.

Evaluate before live use

Start with the Market demo in the Strategy Tester using your broker's data. Review individual trades, drawdown, costs and logs. If the behaviour meets your requirements, choose purchase or one-month rental and evaluate the licensed version on a demo account before committing real funds. Backtests and screenshots show historical operation, not verified live performance or a forecast.

Purchase, rental and support

Licensing and installation are handled by MQL5 Market. The Market demo runs in the Strategy Tester; it is not a free live-account trial. Activations relate to hardware and operating-system configurations under Market rules, not five separate trading-account licences. Plan for open positions before rental expiry: the Expert Advisor stops managing them when its licence expires. Support is available through MQL5 messages and product comments.
