AUTODOLLAR is an Expert Advisor developed specifically for Gold (XAUUSD).
It is built around a simple principle: good trading is not about being in the market constantly. It is about waiting for defined conditions, managing risk carefully and executing the same process consistently.
AUTODOLLAR does not attempt to predict every movement in Gold or promise unrealistic returns. Instead, it uses a structured price-action model to identify setups that meet its internal criteria and manages them automatically.

AUTODOLLAR monitors confirmed structural levels and looks for meaningful changes in price behaviour.
Potential setups are then evaluated against the broader directional environment. This provides an additional filter and helps avoid taking every short-term movement as a trading opportunity.
Adaptive Entry Logic
Gold can behave very differently depending on volatility and market conditions.
AUTODOLLAR includes an internal market-regime process that evaluates the current environment and adjusts how a setup is handled.
Rather than chasing price after a strong movement, the EA waits for a retracement towards its calculated entry area.
If the required entry does not develop correctly, the setup can be cancelled rather than forcing a late entry.
Volume-Based Confluence
AUTODOLLAR includes an optional volume-based confluence filter.
This evaluates whether a potential entry is sufficiently close to an area where previous market activity was concentrated.
It is designed as an additional confirmation layer rather than a standalone trading signal.
For the standard AurumGuard configuration, this feature is recommended to remain enabled.
Enabling POC confluence makes the system more selective and generally reduces trade frequency. In AurumGuard’s historical testing, this configuration also produced lower drawdown, which may be relevant for accounts operating under tighter risk limits, including some prop-firm environments. Historical results do not guarantee future performance.Trade Management
Depending on account type, available margin and market conditions, AUTODOLLAR can manage a setup across multiple profit objectives.
The purpose is to allow part of a successful trade to realise profit while retaining exposure if price continues in the intended direction.
The EA also includes stepped stop-loss management. As a trade progresses through predefined stages, AurumGuard can adjust the stop on remaining exposure.
This does not remove trading risk, but it allows risk to be managed dynamically as the position develops.
Daily Drawdown Protection
Risk control is a core part of AUTODOLLAR.
Users can configure a daily drawdown threshold. If that threshold is reached, the EA can:
- stop opening new trades for the remainder of the trading day;
- cancel outstanding AurumGuard pending orders;
- close AurumGuard positions when that option is enabled.
The protection resets at the beginning of the next trading day.
This feature is intended as an additional risk-management layer. It is not a guarantee of an exact maximum loss. Slippage, market gaps, spread expansion and execution conditions can cause realised losses to exceed the configured threshold.
No Martingale or Recovery Grid
AUTODOLLAR does not attempt to recover losing trades by automatically increasing position size.
It does not use:
- Martingale-style lot escalation
- Recovery grids
- Continuous averaging into losing positions
Every new setup must satisfy the strategy's conditions independently.
Losses and drawdowns are a normal part of trading, and AurumGuard is designed to manage them rather than increase exposure in an attempt to recover them.
Position Sizing
AUTODOLLAR includes an adjustable Base Lots setting.
Position size can scale relative to account equity and the configured reference capital.
On account types where a setup is divided across multiple positions, Base Lots refers to the size of each individual position, not necessarily the total exposure of the complete setup.
Users should therefore choose their lot size carefully and test their intended configuration before trading live.
Built Specifically for XAUUSD
AUTODOLLAR has been developed specifically around Gold rather than attempting to trade every available market.
Broker conditions can vary considerably, including:
- spreads;
- commissions;
- leverage;
- execution;
- symbol specifications;
- trading hours;
- liquidity;
- historical pricing.
