TRADE WHALE – QFL MEAN REVERSION EA
Trade Whale QFL Mean Reversion EA is a fully automated trading system based on the QFL (Quickfingers Luc) mean-reversion concept.
The Expert Advisor identifies dynamically formed QFL base levels and searches for situations where price has moved significantly away from its recent equilibrium. The strategy is designed to take advantage of potential price reversions after extended movements.
Instead of relying exclusively on a single entry, the EA can use a configurable basket and safety-order structure. If price temporarily moves against the initial position, additional orders may be opened at predefined distances in order to improve the average entry price of the entire basket.
The objective is to close the basket when price performs a sufficient mean-reversion movement.

HOW THE STRATEGY WORKS
The EA continuously searches for confirmed QFL base levels.
When price moves sufficiently below a valid lower QFL base, the system may initiate a BUY basket.
When price moves sufficiently above a valid upper QFL base, the system may initiate a SELL basket.
The required distance from the QFL level is controlled by the Entry Deviation parameter.
If the market continues moving against the initial position, the EA may place additional safety orders according to the configured distance, volume multiplier and step multiplier.
These additional positions modify the average entry price of the basket.
As a result, the market does not necessarily need to return all the way back to the original entry price. A smaller reversal may be sufficient for the complete basket to reach its configured Take Profit target.
All basket management is performed automatically by the Expert Advisor.
SAFETY ORDER SYSTEM
The safety-order system is an important part of the strategy.
Users can configure:
• First Safety Order Lot
• Maximum Number of Safety Orders
• Safety Order Distance
• Safety Order Volume Multiplier
• Safety Order Step Multiplier
This allows the user to choose between more conservative and more aggressive configurations.
Increasing position sizes may improve the average entry price faster, but it also increases exposure and risk.
For this reason, the safety-order parameters should always be selected according to the account size and the user's personal risk tolerance.
QFL SIGNAL FILTERING
The EA does not use every price movement as a signal.
QFL bases can be filtered using:
• Volume Moving Average
• Minimum Volume / Average Volume ratio
• Maximum Base Age
• Entry Deviation
• Re-entry Cooldown
These filters are designed to reduce unnecessary entries and allow the strategy to focus on stronger QFL structures.
BASKET MANAGEMENT
All positions belonging to the same trading sequence are managed as a basket.
The EA calculates the average position price and monitors the complete basket instead of treating every position independently.
Take Profit can be calculated using the total basket volume or the original base order, depending on the selected configuration.
An optional Basket Stop Loss is also available.
The objective is to manage the complete position structure as one coordinated trade idea.
SESSION AND WEEKDAY FILTERS
The EA includes optional session and weekday filters.
Users can define:
• Trading start time
• Trading end time
• Allowed trading days
This provides additional control over when new baskets are allowed to open.
Existing positions continue to be managed automatically.
