ChartMarker

is a chart-window indicator for marking up your charts with trend lines and order blocks. You draw directly on the chart with mouse clicks instead of switching MetaTrader drawing tools on and off.

ChartMarker keeps markup fast and consistent during review and live trading. One compact panel controls the active tool, visibility, cleanup, and backup. Drawings stay on the chart as standard objects you can still select and adjust in MetaTrader when needed.

Main features

• Trend lines from a single click. Click the upper or lower half of a candle to place a horizontal trend line at that bar high or low. No need to align the line manually to the wick.
• Structure limit for trend lines. When enabled, the line extends forward only until price closes through the level (useful for marking structure breaks without redrawing).
• Order blocks as rectangles. Click any bar to draw a filled rectangle from high to low. Set a fixed length in bars or extend the block toward the right edge of the chart.
• Timeframe visibility. Choose whether new drawings appear on the current timeframe only or on all timeframes. Existing objects keep the visibility they had when created.
• Floating tool panel. Drag the panel by its title bar. Minimize it to a small header when you need chart space; the minimized state is kept when you change timeframe or reload the indicator.
• Quick cleanup. Delete the last object with the Del key. Remove all ChartMarker drawings after an on-chart confirmation. Remove only objects created on the current timeframe.
• Export and import. Save trend lines and order blocks to a text file under MQL5/Files and reload them later. Import checks that the symbol in the file matches the chart symbol so you do not load another instrument by mistake. Optional separate file per account login.
• Duplicate protection. ChartMarker does not place a second trend line or order block on the same bar if one is already there.

How to use

Attach ChartMarker to the chart. Select Trend Line or Order Block on the panel, then click candles to draw. Press Del to remove the last drawing. Use Del All for a full reset with confirmation. Use Export and Import to back up or share markup for the same symbol.

Input parameters (overview)

Drawing settings control default line length in bars, line width and style, whether the tool stays selected after each click, order block length, and structure limit for trend lines.

Colors set the default trend line and order block fill colors for new drawings.

Export and import options include storing a separate file per account when you trade the same symbol on multiple logins.

Notes

ChartMarker creates chart objects with the CM_ prefix. It does not open pop-up ads or links to external services. The panel toggle for timeframe scope applies to new drawings only.
