Prop Firm Gold King is a fully automated MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor designed for trading XAUUSD (Gold) and BTCUSD (Bitcoin). It uses a systematic breakout strategy combining market structure, pending order execution, and dual EMA trend confirmation on M5 and H1 timeframes.
The EA uses fixed lot sizing with configurable Stop Loss, Take Profit, and Trailing Stop. It also features Static and Floating Drawdown calculation modes to help traders configure risk controls according to their prop firm's rules.

Prop Firm Ready: Set Files
The default set file is configured for XAUUSD (Gold). To trade BTCUSD (Bitcoin), load the dedicated BTC set file before starting the EA.
Important: Always load the correct set file for your instrument and verify the settings before enabling Algo Trading.
How the Strategy Works
The EA identifies significant swing highs and lows using a configurable lookback period. Before placing an order, it checks two EMA filters:
- M5 EMA: Confirms short-term momentum.
- H1 EMA: Confirms the higher-timeframe trend.
When both filters agree with the breakout direction, the EA places a pending Buy Stop or Sell Stop order. Untriggered pending orders expire after the configured period. Once a trade opens, the EA manages it using the configured Stop Loss, Take Profit, and Trailing Stop.
Risk Management and Drawdown Protection
- Fixed Lot Sizing: Uses a predefined lot size configured by the user. Percentage-based risk sizing is not supported.
- Static Drawdown: Provides a static-reference drawdown calculation mode.
- Floating Drawdown: Uses the account's equity high as the drawdown reference, according to the EA's implementation.
- Daily Drawdown Protection: Helps restrict trading when the configured daily loss limit is reached.
- Total Drawdown Protection: Helps control trading when the configured overall loss limit is reached.
- Maximum Spread Filter: Filters entries when spreads exceed the configured threshold.

Prop Firm Rules and Backtest Settings
Before running a backtest or deploying the EA, update the Prop Firm Rules Settings to match your actual prop account size and challenge conditions.
- Challenge Start Balance: Set it to the actual initial account size, such as $10,000 or $100,000.
- Backtest Deposit: Set the Strategy Tester initial deposit to the same amount as the challenge start balance.
- Profit Target: Keep the target as per prop firm profit target. It will stop trading operation after reaching set target.
- Maximum Daily Drawdown: Configure it according to the prop firm's daily loss limit.
- Maximum Total Drawdown: Configure it according to the prop firm's overall loss limit.
