"Rule Your Risk. Strike With Precision. Never Breach a Rule."
The Philosophy Behind Sovereign Strike FTMO
Sovereign Strike FTMO was not engineered to impress you with backtests. It was engineered to answer the single most important question in prop firm trading: how do you trade with enough precision to pass your FTMO challenge and enough discipline to keep your funded account, without ever breaching a single rule?
The answer is Sovereign Strike FTMO — a multi-asset, risk-first Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 built on one uncompromising principle: rule your risk before you rule the market. Every architectural decision, every filter, every line of code flows from that principle. There is no martingale. There is no grid. There is no averaging down. There is no hedging. Every single trade carries a hard stop-loss from the moment it is opened, and every trade is sized so that if that stop-loss is hit, the loss is a precise, pre-calculated fraction of your account. This is not a marketing slogan. It is a structural guarantee enforced by the code itself.
Most Expert Advisors on the market are built to look spectacular in a strategy tester and collapse in live markets. Sovereign Strike FTMO is built for the opposite purpose: to survive live markets, on real ticks, with real slippage, across multiple asset classes, while keeping you compliant with FTMO's trading objectives every second of every trading day. It is the difference between a toy and a weapon. It is the difference between hoping you pass and engineering the conditions under which passing becomes inevitable.
The name says everything. Sovereign means you rule your account, your risk, and your decisions. Strike means you enter the market only when the odds are calculated and the setup is confirmed. Together, Sovereign Strike FTMO is a declaration: I do not chase the market. I command my risk, and I strike with precision.
The Sovereign Guardian — Your Account's Constitutional Court
At the heart of Sovereign Strike FTMO lies a dedicated risk engine that operates completely independently of the trading logic. This engine continuously monitors your account against the specific loss limits of your chosen FTMO account type, and it holds absolute veto power over every trade decision. No signal, no matter how strong, can override the guardian. No strategy, no matter how confident, can bypass the risk checks. The guardian is the final authority.
The EA supports five account profiles out of the box. The FTMO Challenge 2-Step uses a 5% daily loss limit and a 10% static maximum loss. The FTMO Verification 2-Step uses the same 5% daily and 10% static limits. The FTMO Challenge 1-Step uses a stricter 3% daily loss limit and a 10% end-of-day trailing maximum loss. The FTMO Account (Funded) uses the standard 5% daily and 10% static limits. And the Custom Configuration allows you to define your own daily and maximum loss percentages, with an optional end-of-day trailing maximum, for non-FTMO brokers, personal accounts, or testing environments.
What makes the guardian truly powerful is the safety buffer system. You are never trading directly against the raw FTMO limit. Instead, Sovereign Strike FTMO projects a configurable safety buffer below the daily limit and above the overall floor. By default, this buffer is 1.0% below the daily limit and 1.5% above the overall floor. This means that if your account equity approaches the danger zone, the EA locks trading before the actual FTMO rule is breached, not after. It is the difference between driving toward a cliff with a working brake pedal versus relying on the cliff edge to stop you. The guardian intervenes early, decisively, and without emotion.
The guardian calculates two critical floors in real time. The Daily Loss Floor is the absolute equity level at which you would breach the daily loss rule, computed from your day-start balance. The Overall Loss Floor is, for static accounts, the initial capital minus the maximum loss percentage. For trailing accounts like the 1-Step Challenge, this floor rises as your account makes new end-of-day equity highs, ensuring your maximum loss limit trails upward as you profit. When either floor is approached, the EA can optionally close all open EA positions immediately, a feature controlled by the InpCloseOnLimit input. This is not a suggestion. It is a hard circuit breaker that fires without hesitation.
The guardian also tracks maximum trades per day, preventing overtrading, one of the most common causes of prop-firm failure. It tracks maximum consecutive losses per day, so if you lose a configured number of trades in a row, the EA stops for the day and prevents tilt and revenge trading. It tracks maximum daily loss in money as an additional hard stop independent of percentage calculations. And it tracks a daily profit lock, so if you hit your daily profit target, the EA locks in the gains and stops trading until the next server day. All of this state is persisted across terminal restarts using global variables, so a crash or reboot does not reset your risk tracking. The guardian remembers. The guardian never forgets.
Five Independent Strategy Modules — A Diversified Arsenal
Sovereign Strike FTMO does not rely on a single trading concept. It contains five distinct, independently configurable strategy modules, each with its own logic, filters, and confirmation requirements. You can run them in three different modes. Single Strategy Mode lets you choose one module and trade it exclusively. Confluence Mode requires a minimum number of strategies to agree on direction before entering, and this is the most conservative mode used by the FTMO-focused presets. Multi-Strategy Mode allows any enabled strategy to trigger a trade, producing more signals for traders who want broader market participation.
Module A, Trend Following, uses a fast EMA and a slow EMA to determine trend direction, confirmed by ADX strength and directional movement. It can require a recent EMA cross within a configurable number of bars, or it can simply require alignment. It optionally requires price to pull back to the fast EMA before entry, which improves entry pricing and reduces the chance of buying the top of a move. Higher-timeframe confirmation is enforced when enabled, ensuring you are trading with the dominant trend, not against it. This is the backbone module, the one that keeps you on the right side of the market.
Module B, Breakout, identifies the highest high and lowest low over a configurable lookback period and enters when price breaks beyond that level with a configurable ATR-based buffer. It requires the breakout candle to close beyond the level, and it enforces a minimum candle range as a multiple of ATR to filter out weak, indecisive breakouts. An optional retest mode waits for price to return to the broken level before entering, which reduces false breakouts at the cost of missing some fast moves. This module captures expansion, the moment when a market decides to commit.
Module C, Pullback and Continuation, trades pullbacks within an established trend. It identifies the trend using EMAs and ADX, then waits for price to retrace to either the fast or slow EMA zone. Entry requires confirmation, either a candlestick pattern such as engulfing or pin bar, an RSI turning point, or both. This is the buy-the-dip, sell-the-rip module, but with strict mechanical rules that prevent catching falling knives. It is the precision entry module, the one that gets you in at the best possible price within an existing trend.
Module D, Momentum Confirmation, is a pure momentum filter. It requires RSI, MACD, and ADX to all align in the same direction before entering. RSI must be above the buy threshold, default 52, but below overbought at 72 for longs, or below the sell threshold at 48 but above oversold at 28 for shorts. MACD must be expanding in the trade direction. ADX must confirm trend strength. This module is disabled by default because it produces fewer signals, but it is invaluable when you want only the highest-conviction momentum entries. It is the sniper module.
Module E, Range Trading, identifies sideways markets using a low ADX reading and a well-defined range width measured in ATR multiples. It buys near the range low and sells near the range high, with RSI confirmation and candlestick patterns. It enforces a minimum reward-to-risk ratio to the range midpoint, ensuring the trade is worth taking. This module is disabled by default and should be validated thoroughly before enabling, as range trading in trending markets is a common source of losses. It is the specialist module, used only when the market is genuinely ranging.
Each module can be enabled or disabled independently. Each has its own detailed configuration inputs. This is not a black box. You have full control. You see exactly what each module is doing, why it is doing it, and when it is doing it.
Risk Management — The Layer That Keeps You Alive
Risk management in Sovereign Strike FTMO is not an afterthought. It is the first thing the EA calculates, and it is the last thing that can veto a trade. The risk engine runs before every entry, and if any risk condition fails, the trade is rejected without exception.
Position sizing is exact. Every trade is sized based on a fixed percentage of your account balance or equity, whichever is lower. You choose the risk per trade, from 0.25% to 1.00% in preset increments, or a custom value. A hard cap prevents you from accidentally setting a catastrophic risk level. The EA calculates the exact lot size required to lose precisely that percentage if the stop-loss is hit, using the broker's own OrderCalcProfit function to account for contract size, tick value, and currency conversion. This is not an approximation. It is exact.
Three stop-loss methods are available. ATR-Based places the stop a configurable multiple of ATR away from entry, adapting to market volatility, with the multiplier automatically adjusted based on the instrument class for metals, energy, forex, and indices. Fixed Points uses a fixed distance suitable for traders who know their instrument's behavior intimately. Swing Structure places the stop beyond the most recent swing high or low, with an ATR-based buffer, respecting market structure, and a maximum ATR multiple filter rejects trades where the structural stop would be too wide. All stops respect the broker's minimum stop distance and freeze level. If the calculated stop is too close, it is widened automatically. If it is too far, the trade is rejected.
Take-profit is calculated as a configurable risk-to-reward multiple of the stop distance. You can choose 1:1, 1:1.5, 1:2, 1:3, or a custom ratio. The EA also enforces the broker's minimum stop distance on the take-profit side.
The EA tracks total open risk across all positions, the amount you would lose if every open position hit its stop-loss simultaneously. You can set a maximum total open risk as a percentage of balance, and if a new trade would exceed this limit, it is rejected. This prevents the classic prop-firm killer: multiple correlated positions all going against you at once. The EA also tracks same-direction exposure per currency. If you already have two long positions involving the US dollar, a third long dollar trade can be blocked. This prevents accidental concentration in a single currency, which is how many traders breach their daily loss limit without realizing it.
You can limit the maximum number of simultaneous positions across all symbols, and the maximum positions per symbol, preventing over-leveraging and keeping your risk diversified. The EA can reject trades when the spread is too wide, either as a percentage of ATR or as an absolute point value. It can also block entries after an abnormally large bar, a volume spike, which often precedes erratic price action.
Trade Management — Protecting Profits Without Suffocating Them
Once a trade is open, Sovereign Strike FTMO manages it actively but conservatively. The goal is to protect profits without choking the trade before it has room to breathe.
Break-even moves the stop-loss to lock in a small profit, default 0.05R plus the current spread, once price moves a configurable number of R multiples in your favor, default 1.0R. This ensures that a trade that was once profitable can never become a full loser.
Three trailing modes are available. ATR Trailing trails price by a configurable ATR multiple, adapting to volatility. EMA Trailing follows a slow EMA, keeping you in trend trades longer. Fixed Distance trails by a fixed number of points. Trailing only activates after price reaches a configurable R multiple, default 1.5R, ensuring you do not choke a trade before it has room to run.
Optionally, the EA can close a percentage of the position at a configurable R multiple, locking in gains while leaving the remainder to run. This is disabled by default but available for traders who prefer to bank profits incrementally.
Every stop modification is throttled by two inputs: a minimum time between modifications and a minimum stop improvement required. This prevents spamming the broker with modification requests, which can lead to rejections or even account restrictions. Positions can be automatically closed after a configurable number of hours, preventing them from being held indefinitely through adverse conditions. If enabled, the EA closes a position when an opposite signal is generated on the same symbol, allowing it to reverse direction without manual intervention. And the EA can close all positions before the weekend, avoiding gap risk, and blocks new entries after a configurable Friday hour. Sovereign Strike FTMO does not gamble over the weekend.
Session and Time Filters — Trading When the Market Is Worth Trading
Sovereign Strike FTMO includes a comprehensive session filter system. You can restrict trading to the Asian Session, the London Session, the New York Session, or the London and New York overlap only, which is the highest-liquidity period of the day. Each session has configurable start and end hours. You can also use custom trading hours instead of preset sessions.
Additionally, you can define per-symbol session windows using a simple string format, for example XAUUSD=9-20;EURUSD=8-18, giving you granular control over when each instrument is traded. The EA also respects a rollover window, blocking entries within a configurable number of minutes of server midnight when spreads widen and liquidity thins. It respects session close proximity, blocking entries within a configurable number of minutes before a market session closes. It enforces a Friday cut-off, blocking new entries after a configurable Friday hour. And it can close all positions before the weekend at a configurable Friday hour.
News Filter — Avoiding the Landmines
The EA includes an optional economic-calendar filter that uses MetaTrader 5's built-in calendar. You can configure minimum importance, choosing low, moderate, or high-impact events only. You can set block before and block after times in minutes. And you can choose a fail-safe policy: if news data is unavailable, you can either block all entries, fail-safe, or allow them, fail-open. The filter checks both currencies of the symbol being traded. If either currency has a qualifying event within the block window, entries are rejected. Sovereign Strike FTMO does not walk into a news landmine.
Preset Configurations — One Click to Conservative
Sovereign Strike FTMO includes five preset configurations that override risk and filter inputs with carefully balanced settings.
Conservative FTMO uses 0.25% risk per trade, confluence mode requiring two strategies, London and New York sessions only, maximum two positions, maximum three trades per day, and maximum two consecutive losses. This is the safest preset, designed for traders who want to pass their challenge with minimal drawdown.
Balanced FTMO uses 0.50% risk per trade, multi-strategy mode, London and New York sessions, maximum three positions, maximum five trades per day, and maximum three consecutive losses. This is the default recommendation for traders who want a balance of safety and opportunity.
Gold Conservative uses 0.25% risk per trade, confluence mode, a tighter spread filter at 12% of ATR, a wider ATR stop multiplier at 2.0, and maximum one position. Gold is volatile, and this preset respects that.
Forex Conservative uses 0.25% risk per trade, confluence mode, a 1:1.5 reward-to-risk ratio, maximum two positions, and maximum four trades per day. It is designed for major forex pairs.
Metals Conservative uses 0.25% risk per trade, confluence mode, a 1.8 ATR stop multiplier, and maximum two positions. It is designed for silver, platinum, and other metals.
When you select a preset, the EA overrides the relevant inputs. When you select Custom Strategy, your inputs are used exactly as set.
The Dashboard — Professional Situational Awareness
Sovereign Strike FTMO includes a fully custom, canvas-based dashboard that displays all critical information at a glance. It shows equity and balance with percentage change versus initial capital. It shows today's profit and loss in money and as a percentage of capital. It displays a daily loss usage gauge, a color-coded bar showing how much of your daily loss allowance has been consumed, with a white safety stop marker showing where the EA will lock trading. It displays an overall loss usage gauge, the same for the overall loss limit, with trailing floor support for 1-Step accounts.
It shows daily allowance left, how much money you can still lose today before the safety lock triggers, and overall allowance left, how much money you can still lose in total before the overall safety lock triggers. It shows open risk to stop-loss, the total amount at risk if all open positions hit their stops, as a percentage of balance. It shows trades today, how many trades you have taken versus the daily maximum. It shows risk per trade, your configured risk percentage and reward-to-risk ratio. It shows strategy mode, which mode is active and how many strategies are enabled. It shows an equity curve sparkline of recent equity history.
It shows session status, whether the market is open and whether the session filter is allowing trades. It shows news status: clear, blocked, off, or no data. It shows the current spread in points, color-coded against your limit. It shows which FTMO ruleset is active. And it shows an open positions table with symbol, side, lots, profit and loss, and current R multiple for up to three positions, with a plus-N-more indicator.
The dashboard also includes a status pill that shows whether the EA is active, paused, or locked. Clicking the pill, or pressing the P key, toggles manual pause. This is invaluable when you want to stop new entries without disabling the EA or closing existing positions. The dashboard is rendered using the Canvas library, which means it is fast, smooth, and does not create hundreds of chart objects. It updates every 500 milliseconds. It is a command center, not a decoration.
Alerts and Notifications
When a safety lock is triggered, whether daily loss, overall loss, profit lock, or consecutive loss lock, the EA can send pop-up alerts on the terminal and push notifications to your mobile device via MetaTrader 5. This means you are never surprised by a locked account. You know immediately when the guardian has intervened.
Symbol Resolution — Works with Any Broker
Sovereign Strike FTMO includes a sophisticated symbol resolution system. If you type EURUSD but your broker uses EURUSD.pro, EURUSDm, or m.EURUSD, the EA will find the correct symbol automatically. It supports suffix and prefix matching, and it selects the shortest matching symbol name to avoid ambiguity. You can trade a single symbol, the chart symbol, or a comma-separated list of symbols. The EA validates each symbol, checks that indicators can be created, and reports any unavailable symbols in the Experts log.
Multi-Asset Support
Sovereign Strike FTMO is not limited to forex. It supports forex pairs including majors, minors, and exotics. It supports metals including gold, silver, platinum, and palladium. It supports energy including oil, Brent, WTI, and natural gas. And it supports indices through CFD symbols. The EA automatically classifies each symbol and adjusts its stop-loss multiplier accordingly. Metals and energy instruments get wider stops; forex pairs get tighter stops. This prevents the EA from being stopped out by normal volatility in high-volatility instruments.
Strategy Tester Compatibility
Sovereign Strike FTMO is fully compatible with the MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester. The dashboard is automatically hidden in non-visual mode to avoid clutter, but it appears in visual mode. The news filter is automatically disabled in the tester because the economic calendar is not available there, and this is clearly communicated in the log. The EA uses only closed-bar data for signal generation, which means backtest results are realistic and not affected by intrabar repainting. Every signal is evaluated on a new bar, and the EA tracks the last processed bar time per symbol to avoid duplicate evaluations.
What Sovereign Strike FTMO Is Not
It is not a martingale EA. It never increases lot size after a loss. It is not a grid EA. It never opens multiple positions at different prices to average down. It is not a hedging EA. It never opens opposite positions on the same symbol. It is not a guaranteed-profit EA. No software can guarantee that a prop-firm account will never breach a rule. Sovereign Strike FTMO is a tool, not a miracle. And it is not a black box. Every strategy, every filter, every risk parameter is exposed and configurable.
Who Sovereign Strike FTMO Is For
It is for prop-firm challengers who need to pass FTMO or similar evaluations without breaching risk rules. It is for funded traders who want to protect their funded account from drawdown. It is for serious retail traders who want a disciplined, risk-first approach to multi-asset trading. It is for traders who value transparency and want to understand exactly what their EA is doing and why. And it is for traders who have been burned by martingale or grid EAs and want a sustainable alternative.
The Bottom Line
Sovereign Strike FTMO is not the flashiest EA on the market. It will not promise you 1000% returns in a month. It will not show you a backtest with a perfectly smooth equity curve that collapses in live trading. What it will do is give you a fighting chance to pass your FTMO challenge, protect your funded account, and trade with a level of discipline that most humans cannot maintain manually.
It is a sovereign. It rules your risk. It strikes with precision. It defends your capital like a kingdom.
Sovereign Strike FTMO. Rule your account. Strike with precision. Trade another day.
