Welcome to Anabasis XAU!
Anabasis XAU buys pullbacks in rising gold and sells rallies in falling gold, the classic Granville rule, but only when the M15 setup, the H1 trend and the US bond trend all agree.
Gold tends to move with real interest rates. Using the bond market as a direction filter removes trend trades that go against the macro flow. In testing, the bond filter improved results compared with using gold's own trend alone.
No grid, no martingale, no averaging down. Every trade has a stop loss.
Key Features:
- M15 pullback-to-SMA entries in the trend direction
- H1 Dow structure must point the same way
- US Treasury (IEF) 20-day trend as a macro direction filter
- Stop loss on every trade; all positions closed by 20:45 UTC
- Keeps trading if bond data is unavailable (falls back to gold's own trend)
- Trades: About 85 per year
- Holding time: Intraday, no overnight positions
M15: the 20 SMA is sloping; price pulls back to it and then breaks the previous bar's high (or low).
H1: the fractal Dow structure points the same way.
Macro: the 20-day trend of US Treasury bond prices (IEF) points the same way. Rising bond prices mean falling yields, which has tended to support gold.
Exit: stop loss 0.5 × daily ATR; stop moves to entry + 0.02 × ATR at 0.3 × ATR profit; all closed by 20:45 UTC.
Size: lot × 2 on days after an inside day (ID_LotMult = 1.0 disables it).

Setup:
Attach the EA to one XAUUSD chart (any timeframe). Recommended balance: $2,000 per 0.01 lot. Account: Hedging or netting. VPS recommended; WebRequest URL allowed (see Setup).
Parameters:
- Lots – lot size
- ID_LotMult – lot multiplier after an inside day (1.0 = off)
