Risk Guard and Execution Manager MT5

Semi-manual risk & execution manager for MT5: one-click sizing, auto SL/BE, partial TP, account-wide guard.

BlockGuard is a semi-manual risk and execution manager for MT5. You keep every trading decision in your own hands; BlockGuard handles the heavy, repetitive risk work around each order - position sizing, stop-loss (SL) placement, break-even (BE), partial take-profit (TP), and account-wide protection - from a single panel on your chart.

BlockGuard is a protection layer that sits beneath your strategy. It is not a signal, not a strategy, and it makes no promise of profit. It is agnostic to your indicators, timeframe, symbol, and broker: it does not compete with your edge, it protects it. The tool is optimized for hedging accounts and operates within the limits allowed on netting accounts.

Every entry and exit is executed by you. BlockGuard never opens or closes a trade on its own idea of the market - it only enforces the risk rules and automations you configure. The goal is survival first: keep your account in the game so you always have the next round to play.

Key features

  • One-click execution with automatic lot sizing - the lot is derived from the monetary or percentage risk you set, not typed manually.
  • Automatic stop-loss policy - SL placement based on an ATR-driven policy engine, applied consistently at the admission of each order.
  • Automatic break-even - moves the stop to protect an open position once your conditions are met.
  • Partial take-profit - scales out of a position with an on-panel TP meter.
  • Account-wide guard - daily loss limit, maximum drawdown, and rules to cut, close, lock, or brake trading across all symbols. When a limit is reached, BlockGuard can close positions and stop new trades until the next session.
  • Prop-firm rule mode - configure daily-loss, maximum-loss, target, and drawdown rules for a selected account profile. The user remains responsible for checking the current rules of their prop firm.
  • Multi-account copier - copy one leader to many followers on the same PC / multi-terminal setup, account-wide and multi-symbol.
  • Persistent state - risk state, ledger, and baseline survive terminal restarts.
  • Auto journal - captures a chart screenshot and a journal card for each trade lifecycle (before / during / after), stored locally. Journaling is additive and never touches risk or execution.
  • Local performance & behavior mirror - an on-panel view with Performance, Behavior, and Guard tabs, built only from your own real numbers.
  • Unified cockpit UX - a single 300px panel with linear navigation, Dark/Light themes, a Hide P&L option, on-panel alerts, and an action log. One tool attached to one chart.

How it works

  1. Attach BlockGuard to one chart. It manages your account, not just that symbol.
  2. Set your risk per trade, your daily/drawdown limits, and (optionally) a prop-firm profile.
  3. You decide the trade. Place it in one click; BlockGuard sizes the lot, applies the SL policy, and arms break-even and partial TP.
  4. The account-wide guard watches your equity in real time and enforces your limits.
  5. Every action is logged; the journal and mirror give you an honest picture of your performance and behavior afterwards.

Input parameters (configure as recommendations)

  • Risk sizing - risk per trade in money or % of balance/equity; default lot cap.
  • Execution & SL policy - ATR period and multiplier for stop placement; order-type behavior.
  • Break-even - trigger distance and lock offset.
  • Partial take-profit - target(s) and volume to close at each step.
  • Account guard - daily loss limit, maximum drawdown, action on breach (close / lock / brake).
  • Prop-firm mode - enable and select a ruleset, such as an FTMO-style profile. Always verify the current rules with the relevant firm.
  • Copier - Leader / Follower role, lot multiplier, mapping.
  • Journal - enable auto screenshot and journal cards.
  • Panel & alerts - theme (Dark/Light), Hide P&L, alert preferences.

All symbol/timeframe restrictions are recommendations, not hard limits, per MQL5 Market rules.

Requirements

  • MT5, build compatible with the current terminal.
  • Hedging accounts are recommended for the full feature set. Netting accounts are supported subject to MT5 platform limitations.
  • A VPS or an always-on machine is recommended for the account guard and copier.

Honest limits

BlockGuard is a safety layer, not a magic shield. No tool can prevent spikes, slippage, or gaps at the moment the market creates them. What BlockGuard does is contain the damage in the steps that follow, so a shock stays a wound instead of becoming a blow-up. It does not predict the market and makes no guarantee of profit or error-free operation.
