The MyFXRoom HTF 3 Bar Swing indicator detects confirmed swing highs and swing lows on any higher timeframe and alerts you the instant the confirming bar closes — no matter what timeframe you are currently trading on. Designed for ICT, SMC, and price action traders who need to track higher timeframe structure without switching charts.
HOW IT WORKS
A 3-bar swing high is confirmed when the middle bar's high is greater than the high of both the bar to its left and the bar to its right. A 3-bar swing low is confirmed when the middle bar's low is lower than the low of both neighbouring bars. The alert fires on the close of the right-hand bar — the moment the pattern is structurally confirmed — not on a repainting basis during the bar.
LIVE HTF CANDLE OVERLAY
The indicator renders a live 4-candle display directly on your chart to the right of current price, showing the last three closed HTF bars plus the currently forming bar — all updating tick by tick. You can watch H4 or Daily structure build in real time while trading on a 5-minute or 15-minute chart. The live forming candle renders hollow with a dotted outline so you can instantly distinguish it from confirmed closed bars. No switching charts. No losing context.
DUAL BAR CLOSE TIMERS
Two countdown timers display simultaneously on the chart — one for the HTF bar you are monitoring and one for the current chart timeframe. Both show hours, minutes and seconds where needed, and both turn red in the final 60 seconds before close so you always know exactly when structure is about to confirm. Position, size and corner placement are all configurable via inputs.

INPUTS
- HTF Timeframe — the timeframe on which swings are detected
- Show Overlay — toggle the visual 4-bar display on or off
- Right Offset — distance in bars from current price to the left edge of the overlay
- Candle Width — width of each overlay candle in chart bars
- Show Timers — toggle both bar close timers on or off
- Timer Corner — screen corner for timer placement (0=TL, 1=TR, 2=BL, 3=BR)
- Timer X/Y Offset — pixel position of the timers
- Timer Font Size — size of the timer text
- Terminal Alert, Mobile Push, Email, Sound — individually toggle each alert channel
- Sound File — specify any .wav file from your MT5 Sounds folder
NOTES
The selected HTF must be higher than your current chart timeframe. If it is not, the indicator displays a warning and disables itself cleanly until the settings are corrected. No inputs are required for colours — the indicator reads your chart's colour scheme automatically and updates if you change your theme.
