La deviazione del prezzo dalla media mobile, o semplicemente indicatore di deviazione, è uno strumento di analisi tecnica progettato per misurare la distanza percentuale o assoluta tra il prezzo corrente e una media mobile (MA) selezionata. Il suo scopo principale è identificare, in tempo reale, quando uno strumento finanziario è ipercomprato o ipervenduto, indicando che il prezzo si è allontanato troppo dalla sua media ed è probabile che inverta o corregga nuovamente verso la media mobile.
