Range Breaker EA – Trading automatico con strategia di breakout del range

Range Breaker EA è un robot di trading automatizzato per MetaTrader basato su una strategia collaudata di breakout del range (Range Breakout). L’EA identifica un intervallo di prezzo definito all’interno di un periodo di tempo specifico e apre automaticamente una posizione quando il prezzo rompe questo range.

Come funziona

Il trader definisce l’orario di inizio e la durata della formazione del range. Durante questo periodo, l’EA calcola automaticamente il massimo e il minimo del range.

Quando il prezzo rompe il range verso l’alto o verso il basso, l’EA apre automaticamente una posizione Buy (acquisto) o Sell (vendita).

Ogni operazione viene aperta con Stop Loss e Take Profit, garantendo una gestione chiara del rischio.

Unfortunately, this EA is not profitable with the 4 set files from March 17 (found in the Comments section) when testing over the period March 17 to July 31. This means it failed out-of-sample forward tests so far. It looks somewhat usable for NAS100 opening range breakout with adjusted settings (range start at 16:30 with length of 1 to 5 minutes, optimize other settings), but the results are not stable enough for me to start using it like that (the positive ones may be due to overfitting again). I am unsure about the star ratings I should use on this review - on one hand, as a universal tool this EA is described fine and seems to work as intended (could be 5-star, except there's log flood by a debug message), but on the other it is not immediately usable (if at all) for profitable trading with any of the set files provided.
