Value Hedging EA (MT4)
An automated multi-pair dual-leg hedging and mean-reversion strategy based on value spread equilibrium. It includes built-in spread filtering, time-window frequency control, basket take-profit, and grouped Magic management — ideal for conservative quantitative traders seeking portfolio diversification.
Dual-leg RSI spread mean-reversion with basket TP & multi-pair hedging.
Target Users
-
Traders who prefer hedging and mean-reversion concepts and wish to reduce single-symbol directional exposure.
-
Those who need multi-pair, multi-group parallel management with controllable frequency and spread constraints.
-
Users familiar with MT4 basics who can observe and fine-tune parameters on demo accounts first.
Recommended Settings
-

-
Account Type: ECN/RAW spread accounts that allow hedging.
-
Leverage: Choose appropriate leverage within regulatory limits according to your broker.
-
VPS: Use a stable, low-latency VPS for continuous operation.

Usage Steps
-
In the Market Watch window, confirm your broker provides all tradable pairs you plan to use (e.g., USDNOK / USDSGD).
-
Attach the EA to any chart (EURUSD M1 is recommended). Run only one instance per chart.
-
Configure the parameters for up to four pair groups, thresholds, spread limits, risk controls, and lot multipliers.
-
Enable AutoTrading and observe the on-screen panel and log to confirm proper order execution and closing.
-
Gradually fine-tune based on account size and volatility conditions:
-
Increase entry thresholds to reduce noise and overtrading.
-
Tighten the spread limit to improve execution quality.
-
Adjust the lot multiplier to control overall exposure.

FAQ
Q1: The EA doesn’t trade / The panel shows spread too high?
A: Check if your broker offers the required pairs; enable “Show All” in Market Watch; widen the max spread or switch to a more liquid session/account type.
Q2: Why is only one group trading while others remain idle?
A: Each group has independent thresholds, time windows, and spread limits. If not all conditions are met simultaneously, that group will not open trades. Adjust entry thresholds or extend the time window as needed.
Q3: My broker doesn’t have USDNOK / USDSGD — what should I do?
A: Replace them with more liquid pairs such as EURUSD/GBPUSD, AUDUSD/NZDUSD, or USDCHF/USDJPY, and recalibrate lot ratios and thresholds.
Q4: Why does it sometimes close all trades prematurely?
A: When the basket take-profit condition is triggered, all grouped positions are closed simultaneously. Adjust this threshold to your preference.
Q5: Can it coexist with manual or other EA positions?
A: It’s recommended to dedicate a separate chart and unique MagicNumber for this EA. If you must run it alongside others, ensure MagicNumbers don’t overlap and understand the net exposure at the basket level.
