Prop Firm Rules Guard MT5

All the rules of your prop firm challenge in one EA: daily loss limit, max drawdown (static or trailing), profit target, max trades per day, max lot, max open positions, stop loss required, trading hours and Friday close. When a trade breaks a rule, it is closed automatically.

Most challenges are not lost because of bad strategy. They are lost because of one rule break: a daily loss a few dollars over the limit, one trade too big, a position left open over the weekend. Prop Firm Rules Guard watches your whole account every second and acts before the rule is broken, so you can focus on trading.

Made for prop firm challenges and funded accounts, such as FTMO, FundedNext, The5ers, E8 Markets, FundingPips, Alpha Capital and other firms. You enter the rules of your firm once, and the EA helps keep your account inside them.

HOW IT WORKS

1. You attach the EA to any one chart and enter your account size (for example 100000) and the rules of your firm.
2. Every second it checks the account: today's result (closed trades plus open positions, swap and commission included), the drawdown from your account size, the profit, the number of trades and every open position.
3. Daily loss limit reached: all positions are closed, pending orders deleted, and new trades are blocked until the new day.
4. Max drawdown reached: all positions are closed and new trades are blocked.
5. Profit target reached: all positions are closed so you keep the result.
6. Max trades, max lot, max positions, stop loss, trading hours: only the trade or the extra volume that breaks the rule is closed. Your other trades stay open.
7. You get one warning at 80 % of the daily loss and drawdown limits, and one alert for each event. No flood of pop-ups.

THE RULES (each one can be turned off)

• Daily loss limit in money or in % of the start-of-day balance, equity, or the higher of the two. You choose when the trading day starts (server time).
• Max drawdown in money or in % of your account size: static from the account size, trailing from the highest balance, or trailing from the highest equity.
• Profit target in money or in % of your account size.
• Max trades per day: trades over the limit are closed right away.
• Max lot per position: the volume above the limit is closed.
• Max open positions: the newest extra position is closed.
• Stop loss required: a trade without stop loss is closed after the seconds you allow (30 by default).
• Trading hours: trades opened outside your hours are closed; optionally all positions are closed at the end time.
• Friday close: all positions are closed at your Friday time, and trading stays blocked until the next week.

THE PANEL ON THE CHART

• Status: ACTIVE, LOCKED FOR TODAY, LOCKED, TARGET REACHED or LOCKED UNTIL MONDAY.
• Daily loss: today's result and your limit. It turns orange at the warning level.
• Profit target: your profit since the start and your target.
• Trades today, your lot / position / stop loss rules, and your trading hours.
• Reason: which rule locked the account, or your start balance when everything is fine.

SETUP

1. Drag Prop Firm Rules Guard MT5 onto any one chart (any symbol, any timeframe). One chart is enough for the whole account.
2. In the Common tab, tick "Allow Algo Trading" and make sure the Algo Trading button on the toolbar is on.
3. In the Inputs tab, enter your account size (the starting balance of the challenge) and set the rules of your firm. Press OK.

If you leave the account size at 0, the EA uses the balance at the moment you attach it for the first time. For a challenge, always enter the real account size, so the drawdown is measured correctly.

NOTES

• Every rule is checked again on each start and after every settings change. A lock stays only while its condition is still true.
• The EA works only while MetaTrader 5 is running and connected. For a challenge, run it on a VPS.
• Your firm's own calculation is always the final one. Set the EA a little stricter than the firm (for example a daily limit of 4.5 % when the firm allows 5 %) to keep room for spread and slippage when positions are closed.
• The EA does not open trades. It only closes positions and deletes pending orders when a rule requires it.
