Candle Timer Spread Display MT5

Shows how much time is left until the current candle closes, right next to the price, plus the live spread and the broker's server time. The spread turns red when it is above your limit. Free indicator, works on every timeframe and every symbol.

Many entries are made on the candle close, and a wide spread can turn a good entry into a bad one. MetaTrader 5 does not show either on the chart. This indicator adds both, in a clean way, and updates them every second.

HOW IT WORKS

  1. Right of the last candle, a small text moves with the price: time left and spread, for example "<- 04:02 0.8 pips".
  2. In a corner of the chart, a box shows "M5 candle closes in: 04:02", the spread and the server time.
  3. The countdown runs on a 1-second timer, so it keeps moving even when no new ticks arrive.
  4. When the spread is above your limit (2 pips by default), it turns red and the box says "(high)".
  5. When the market is closed and no new candle starts, the countdown shows "closed" instead of a wrong number.

SETUP

  1. Drag Candle Timer Spread Display MT5 from the Indicators list onto any chart.
  2. Keep the default settings, or change the spread limit, colors and box corner in the Inputs tab, then press OK.

INPUTS

  • Show the timer next to the price / Distance right of the last bar / Timer color
  • Show the spread
  • Spread warning above: pips for forex, points for other symbols (0 = off)
  • Spread color / Spread color above the warning
  • Show box with timer, spread and server time / Box corner / Box X and Y offset / Font size

NOTES

  • The spread is the current difference between Ask and Bid, read live from your broker.
  • The indicator only displays information. It does not open, change or close any trade.
