WHAT IS LYDION

Lydion is a fully automated Expert Advisor for gold (XAUUSD) on MetaTrader 5.

It runs seven independent engines — Quasar, Meridian, Corona, Sentinel, Apex, Neutron and Halo — each with its own logic, its own sizing and its own magic number. They trade different setups, holding times and market conditions, and a shared protection layer watches all of them together.

Every engine has its own magic number, and every trade comment shows the engine name, so you always know which engine opened which trade.

ONE SHARED PROTECTION LAYER

• Stop loss on every trade: every position of every engine is opened with a hard stop loss at the broker

• Account drawdown guard: set your own limit (for example 30%); at that level all new entries stop and open trades finish at their own stops and targets

• Early warnings: e-mail alerts before the limit is reached (at 20% and 25% for a 30% limit)

• Margin-aware sizing: position sizes are reduced automatically when free margin gets tight

• Broker-side fail-safe: protective stops stay on the server, and positions are re-synced after a restart

• Engine health control for the patient engines

• 0 = off (default). Enter a percentage, for example 30: new entries stop at that account drawdown, open trades run to their own exits. E-mail alerts at 2/3 and 5/6 of the limit.

Smart Rebound (on by default) - turns on the Martingale mode for Sentinel engine.

• Optional recovery mode for Sentinel: after a losing Sentinel trade, the next day's Sentinel trade is placed with double size. Switch it off for constant sizing.

• Leverage: 1:100 or higher recommended

• Deposit: from 1,000 (USD / EUR), 3,000 or more recommended

• Broker: low gold spread, good execution

• Running: 24/5 on a VPS is recommended

RISK DISCLOSURE

Trading gold CFDs carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for every investor. Lydion sizes its trades from the balance, so results compound in both directions, and several engines can be in the market at the same time. Smart Rebound doubles the size of one Sentinel trade after a Sentinel loss; switch it off if you prefer constant sizing. With the default settings, drawdowns of up to about 27% occurred in the backtests. The account drawdown guard is off by default; when you set a limit, it stops new entries at that level, but open trades still run to their own stops. Choose the Conservative profile and a lower Neutron risk if that is more than you are comfortable with. All figures above come from backtests in the MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester and do not guarantee future results. Test Lydion on a demo account first and only trade with money you can afford to lose.
